So you dated him for a while and then broke up with him? Like, for how long? A few months. The night I went to the Waldorf with him, I remember looking at him while I was dancing with him, waltzing with him, thinking, maybe I have made a mistake here. Maybe I should reconsider this whole thing. That's when you thought so? He was very handsome too. Yeah, that helps. The real moment that I knew, it was January night. It was very cold. And, but we were sitting, in, um, the sun porch of my parents' house. And I, um, had on, um, a cotton dress that was, I thought, very pretty. I didn't care that it was January. I had on this dress and my feet were cold. God, I'm talking to you in such a personal way. I can't believe this. Um, he took off his socks and put them on my feet to keep me warm. So regardless of dancing at the Waldorf or his taking me to plays because he knew I wanted to be an actress, or tennis matches because he knew I grew up playing tennis, regardless of all the glamorous stuff, he was real. He was real and he was caring and he knew what to do. That's beautiful.
