You know, what I've got down here is the number one reason for divorce in the car business.
What?
And it's going to be the same thing. Poor time management.
Explained. So if you're controlling your day, and.
Let'S say you've got your kid has two baseball games that week and you control the day, you make it to two baseball games. But if you don't have control of your day, you make the zero out of two baseball games. Yeah. So what you do during the day actually affects your ability to follow through on the promises you make outside of work.
Time management has way more to do with you prioritizing things than it does time management.
So you don't have to just make that about in work. That can be prioritized out of work too. Yeah.
They go hand in hand.
Yes.
So we do anything is how we do everything.
Right. So you get really good about managing your time outside of work.
And I have to get up.
Yep. So that's probably one of the things I would tell you is I've heard this from the coaches, and I think I've probably said this before too, is that when, like for us. For us doing our coaching gigs and the coaches on the road three weeks out of the month and everything like that, that week that they're home, they're super intentional about their time with their families. That's the way that. That's the magic of it at the end of the day, is that every minute you have with your family, you have to make the best of it. Like, you don't have time to sit on the couch and just de stress and everything like that. But if you're controlling your day, there's not as much stress to unwind from. You can un unwind from the stress on the drive as opposed to the drive plus an hour and a half.
Yeah.
So I think that that time management thing is probably the number one cause of divorce.
That's good. So time management and then sitting down, thinking of yourself as a power couple, that we're better together and including your spouse and what the goals are. Y and then talking about what sacrifices have to be made in order to achieve those goals. Yep.
And then do you want to say anything about, like, we talked a little bit about the negative, but the controlling the narrative in terms of like, don't just come home and complain about work. You have to also talk about the stuff that's going amazingly well and the things that you're accomplishing that were maybe they were the goals at the beginning of the year. Maybe They've exceeded that. But you, you have to be willing to talk about the good stuff as well as the bad stuff.
Yeah. Because it is funny how a spouse will say, well, I think you should quit. And you're like, why? This is a great job. And you don't even realize that all you've been doing about it is painting it as a terrible job.
That's right. So.
So what you say does affect your spouse.
Yeah. I also think maybe this is a man woman thing, but, like, to. To most men that I know and including myself, I see work is like the means to the fun stuff outside of work. Like, without the job that I've got, I don't get to do near as much cool stuff as I do outside of work. But for some reason, I. At least probably with my first two marriages, it was the thing that took me away from the family, whereas I thought it was the thing that was making the family possible.
Tell everybody what you're doing for Fourth of July week.
Oh, yeah, we're doing the RV trip to the Grand Canyon. So this is our third year of a beautiful RV trip.
So my son and I and Claudia go to.
National park every year.
So we cook in the RV the whole time.
Yeah, the whole thing. Like, yeah, it's a. It's a whole camping experience.
No hotel shower in the rv.
Yeah. So it's wonderful. And, you know, it's the weirdest thing, but you know my kids, so it probably makes sense. Like, his favorite thing is to do all, like, the plumbing hookups and electricity and everything like that, like, connecting the campground to the rv.
Future mechanic.
Totally his thing. He's super kinesthetic like that. He wants to be an elevator repairman. Did I tell you that? Yeah.
