Chris Collins, Christian Lafferty, and Harry Soo talk about turning bucket-list dreams into stretch goals with real deadlines. Harry Soo performed in his company talent show, now on slapyourdaddybbq.com. They argue for collecting memories and relationships instead of things.

The bucket list thing is pretty great.
That's awesome.
Have you, have you ever made a bucket list?
I think I've made a couple of different bucket lists. I gotta, I got a few things on there. But. But yeah, the stand up comedy thing is pretty.
Yeah, that was scary. So what happened was actually I was scolded for not doing anything on my bucket list on the stand up comedy part right after I did the barbecue part. So my co workers said, hey, you know, we have the company talent contest coming up. Would you like to be in? I said, I can't sing, I can't dance, but that's okay. I'm going to be singing Gladys Knights and the Pips, Midnight Train to Georgia and I need some pips. Would I wear an afro? Would I wear red tie? And then she would teach me how to dance together with my two of my other co workers and we'd be Gladys next to the Pips in the company talent show. So I thought, okay, will that qualify me for the bucket list? Everybody said, yes, that would qualify you. So fine. So I entered the company talent contest with my coworker. And because we couldn't dance, we brought the house down with the laughter.
That's great.
Unfortunately, one of my co workers surreptitiously recorded on their phone that video. And guess what? That video is now on my website, slapyourdaddybbq.com because I want to show people that you cannot take yourself too seriously. You cannot take life too seriously. And you really sometimes have to be really comfortable shedding your ego. And if people laugh at you, people judge you. So what? So long as you remain your, you know, you remain who you are. True to self, be authentic, be true. That's all you can do in life.
Yep. What I say, Harry, is if life gives you lemons, you throw them away and buy brisket.
So in life, don't focus on collecting things. I prefer to collect three things. I prefer to collect love, give love and receive love, Collect memories and collect relationships, because those are eternal.
That's beautiful. We need to make a bucket list.
Oh, yeah, yeah, we do.
We are behind.
And then do a stretch goal for each other. So if, you know, Christian has certain things that he always wanted to do but never did, just put it on the bucket list. Say, hey, you know, within the next six months, go to Tour de France and rent a bicycle and ride a Tour de France or something. You know, one of the things that he always, secretly always wanted to do.
Is it Tour de France?
Oh, I'm, I'm no, but. But I like the idea of a stretch goal. I think that's awesome.
Yeah. Maybe he likes to be Dancing with the Stars. Maybe he always wanted to be a barb dancer, but never, never had the.
He does do Zumba.
I do Zumba.
There you go. So tell him to go take a Zumba contest and win a Zumba award.
Is there awards for that?
Sometimes, yeah.
I'm sure there's a world champion. There's a world championship for everything.
