What is the Secret to Happiness? (Service Drive Revolution Drive By)

Short Service Drive Revolution "Drive By" segment with Chris Collins and Jeremy recorded around Memorial Day. The hosts reflect on gratitude for military service (Memorial Day, visit to Camp Pendleton), encourage daily gratitude as a practical mindset (helps reduce entitlement and victim mindset), and urge advisors to be grateful for customers and embrace hard work as an advantage. The clip ends with a teaser for the upcoming full show: the program's 100th episode and a segment on "the six types of service advisors that will destroy your service department."

Welcome to Service Drive Revolution and your Friday drive by. Jeremy and I have an inspirational message for you going into this weekend, because you're coming up on Memorial Day weekend. And what is Memorial Day weekend, Jeremy?
It's, you know, remembering those that have given their lives for our freedom in the. It's. I mean, I had a great weekend. I was at the beach this weekend, so it was nice. We actually got to go down to Camp Pendleton, the first time I've ever been on an active military base. And, you know, the scope of things really kind of hit me, and I just came back with this really big feeling of gratitude. Being grateful for, you know, living in the country that we live in and having the freedoms that we do and, you know, just, you know, want to thank those that have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. So I think, you know, my message for everybody out there is take a moment and find your gratitude. You know, so many people are complaining about things right now and how things aren't opening up fast enough or this and that. And yet, to wear a mask, there's still so much to be grateful for. And just think back to all those that have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms, you know, so take them out and find the gratitude.
Well, just think back four months ago.
I know, right?
And all the things. You mentioned this earlier, but all the things that we took for granted four months ago that now we've lost.
Correct.
And then think about people that have paid the ultimate price, which is they gave their lives for. For us and our freedom. I think that just like Jeremy said, taking a minute and literally just either writing it down or just sitting there quietly alone and thinking about all the things that you're grateful for. And that's a good thing to do every single day. Like, it's a really good practice because then it changes the perspective you operate from. You start operating from a perspective of positivity and gratitude. And it also makes you less entitled when you're grateful. You're less entitled for things, and you're less of a victim when you come from that perspective.
Yeah. Like right now, it's like a lot of the complaints I get from advisors is it's really hard. You're right. It's hard. We've had to change. You know, we hear questions of, well, how do I get the customer that only comes in for warranty or for the oil change? I get too many of those. Just be happy you have customers, period.
You want it to be hard?
Yeah.
If it's hard, then you have an advantage because all the lazy people that won't work are gonna go away and you're going to dominate. You want it to be hard. You don't want it to be easy. If it's easy, then anybody can succeed.
Absolutely. Kind of how real estate used to be selling real estate in California in the early 2000s, and it's hard now, but nobody does it, so it's different. So you want it hard. You got to find that gratefulness and that gratitude. We need it.
So just stop for a minute and think about all the things that you're grateful for and a moment for. You know, the ones that have paid the ultimate price for us in our freedom and don't take it for granted. And you'll have it. You'll have a different perspective if you do that just for a couple minutes. It's a powerful tool and we encourage you to do it this weekend. And, you know, everybody around you, maybe if you're with family or with a group, maybe just kind of go around and talk about all the things you're grateful for. It's a powerful exercise. And have a. Have a great weekend. We'll see you again. And here's a little bit of what's coming up Monday on the big show.
Next week on Service Drive Revolution, our hundredth episode.
This is kind of a reboot as well. 100 episodes. Yeah.
We haven't been on the set in two months.
Yeah. It's so nice to be back here on set.
We're gonna go through the six types of service advisors that will destroy your service department.
The six types that will destroy your business.
If you're trying to sell Chris something, here's a cell phone kill.
Destroy your department. Absolutely implode.
The Chernobyl effect. Go.
Chernobyl effect.
Force here. So it's amateur hour down at the karaoke bar. Just sounds horrible.
Exactly the line cook.
What do you mean by that?
I forget.
I picture big teeth with just blood.
Dripping everywhere and rips their head off.
I drew a sad crying face when I was listening to that question.
