Another thing I had an experience is, um, so my trainer has wanted me to wear something he can track my steps, 'cause he thinks I don't have enough steps in the day, basically.
OK.
My heart rate, all that stuff. I hate that Whoop thing.
Mmhmm.
And also, like, it's like $400 for the subscription. They jacked up the price. So I paid like the $200-and-something for it. And then I went to check my heart rate, and it's like, no, you gotta upgrade to check your heart rate. I'm like, what?
They recently changed that too.
So I'm like, I'm not— just out of principle, I don't like the way the thing looks and I don't like wearing it, but just out of principle, I'm like, I'm not paying you guys again. I, I did the subscription. You never told me that I wasn't gonna be able to see my heart rate, you know? Yeah, whatever. I don't like the Apple Watch. I just don't like it. I don't, I don't like watches. Like, yeah, to me it's, it's not fun. So the Oura Ring is like the best, yeah, for me alternative. This Oura Ring is really old, and so I decided I was gonna upgrade my Oura Ring, get the new one. The battery lasts longer and it does more, like there's, there's more, uh, stuff it reads, more information. One is the— I think the heart rate is, is, uh, more instant on this one. It is Way delayed. Yeah. So, I ordered an Oura Ring. Then, also, Oura has that, um... Gly— uh, glucose tracker? Mmhmm. So they make one of those. It's $100. You can track your glucose. I've seen so many people, and I have a friend that learned so much about what you're eating by just watching what food makes your glucose spike. So it's the sugar.
OK. Yeah.
Um, and it's just everybody's different. So your body reacts different to French fries than mine does or whatever. Right. So I was going to do that. So I ordered the new ring, that, and then a little travel case that charges it because the charging thing's kind of weird. So I don't know, it's like $600. It was a lot. I order it, you know, I have an account. I, You know, got this one in my same account and I'm looking at the thing, like the tracking and I'm like, hey, is it gonna show up? Is it gonna show up? And then it said delivered. And I was like, no.
Where?
I, I, I'm asking the housekeeper. I'm asking everybody like, did we, did I get a package? No. What pack? You know? And it delivered. So then I start digging into it. It was delivered to an old address I had like 20 years ago.
That's nuts.
Nuts. Like, I don't have that address in anything. I have no idea. When I ordered this Oura Ring, I lived where I live now. So the address in there is the address I live in now, but it is an address I lived at in Santa Ana, and it was delivered there.
Decades ago.
Decades ago. And so I'm like, what do you— what do you do? Like, the address is an address I lived at, so clearly I have some sort of glitch in the matrix. It isn't a made-up address. It's an address, right? So I go to their support thing and, uh, it takes you to this, you know, chat box. I put my problem in the chat box. It says that I got to go to the customer support page and put in a request. I go to the customer support thing, put in a request. I instantly get an email back saying that that's not something they can help me with. I gotta go to this link. I— that link is, is a 404. Like, there's nothing at the link.
Error 404.
Nothing at the, at the link. So then I'm looking for a phone number for the— for— or like, isn't there a phone number I can call? Like, time is of the essence. This is last week, by the way. I'm still sitting here today and I can't get anybody To reply to a customer service thing, I can't get anybody on the phone. Nothing. And the only option now I have is just to call American Express and say, "Hey, this charge—I never got the thing." Yeah. Yeah.
That sucks.
That's the only thing I can do. And then they're gonna say, "Well, you did get the thing.
It was delivered." Yeah. And then you gotta play that whole rigmarole game.
And and it's funny, like the the AI probably can answer a simple question, but the Idea that it was delivered to a wrong address. It doesn't have— yeah, it doesn't have that in its system, or it doesn't have an answer for that. Yeah. And then the, the page that you actually could maybe talk to a human is down.
And no phone numbers.
No phone numbers anywhere.
It's like smoke signals, flare gun, maybe. I don't know, something. I don't know. I, I—
So frustrating.
