He critiques reliance on external permission or gurus who foster dependency by giving just enough guidance so followers attribute success to them, and contrasts that business model with the speaker’s intended approach.

You're not even conscious of the fact that the things that you are doing are creating the problems that you're experiencing. Like, you, you are the creator and experiencer of those problems. A lot of times we don't fix the problems. We just keep creating them over and over again and just starting back at the finish line. And you'll just second guess yourself, which then means that you're a follower by default because you're waiting for permission or inspiration from others. Right. Like, that's the business model for a lot of gurus, is that they give you just enough to kind of keep you going, but you attribute your successes to them, and so then you have to go back to them for permission over and over again. And that's a business model, and it works. That is not the business model that we are experiencing here together, though.
