Happy Saturday, Chris with Win With Webb here, and I wanted to take some time to share more on professional coaching and how I feel my story, my experiences, and what has led to the skills that I've honed have created an expertise that I feel I've got some things I can talk about. First being my career journey, it's been atypical and anything but a normal one at that, spanning various industries from hospitality to retail to software as a service to staffing. From roles in sales, leadership, technical engineering. I've bucked the trend, and if you ask the typical HR rep, they'd be scratching their head to try to understand how does this happen. Well, there's some things that I think I'm pretty darn good at, and there's a myriad of ways to go about it depending on the individual. But when you look at resume writing, ways to create efficiencies in terms of how do I put less work but still create a great resume to submit to job 1, 2, 7, 5, as we know that it can be a very cumbersome tedious process to apply to jobs nowadays.
But even beyond that, how does the formatting help me stand out depending on the type of role and space I'm looking at? Something I've grown quite good at. Another thing I'll throw out there is interviewing. I pride myself on being an exceptional interviewer, and from a cross-country mentality of I'm racing the clock, whoever else is interviewing or running, it really doesn't matter.
I can't control that.
What I can control is the research that I do, Learning about the person or persons I'm interviewing with and also coming prepared, not just with questions to say I did my research to look smart, but turning it around to interview them. Is this the type of leader I'd want to work for? Where is the organization going strategically? And forecasting ahead. Have I thought about myself in the role already to speak to those things, to show the level of not just confidence, but I've thought about being in this position. So there's some important things that a lot of people might miss, and even if you have an idea of how to do it, maybe there's ways you can do it better, right? That's what I've learned throughout my career, is there's always things that I can improve upon in the interviewing process. Now also, I'd say the career search to begin with. Too many people, as I had another post, wake up just not happy, and it's not as if that's groundbreaking, earth-shattering news. It's, what do I do about it? How do I go about identifying what I'm passionate about and what I'm skilled at and marrying those two to kind of create that idea of a job where I can actually be happy doing it? Well, that's where I come in, and I'm excited to start posting more on some of my professional insights, tips, tricks, etc., and continue to just bring this forum up to where it's at. But if you are at all interested in exploring the idea of a professional coach to help you on your journey Again, I'm happy to have that conversation and explore a potential match.
Until then, Win with Webb says let's keep winning. See you guys.
