In this short monologue, the speaker recounts how, during a weekend vacation, he secured a $1.75 million deal for a client. He set a Monday 1 p.m. deadline for the client to fund his account, drafted the necessary agreements, and on Monday afternoon wired the full amount to the United States. He then invoiced a 6 % commission ($105,000) for his services, framing the entire transaction as a lucrative weekend accomplishment.

Things start happening in the afternoon, a little bit in the evening. I get a couple phone calls. Same thing on Sunday. I've told, I've given people up to 1 o'clock on Monday to put the money in my account. Otherwise, I close the deal. So anyway, we go home on Sunday because that's the end of the vacation. I write all the agreements with the people. I go to the bank on Monday and in the afternoon and I send, I wire him in the States $1.75 million. So that was what I found for him over 50 hours on a summer day in the weekend. And of course, then I wrote him an invoice for 6%, which was $105,000. So not a bad take for a weekend vacationing at the cottage.
