In this panel‑style discussion, moderator Speaker A interviews two associates, Greg and Cameron, about their experience in a real‑estate coaching community. They credit their coach, Mike, and the broader peer network for providing constant, multi‑channel support (Slack, email, text) that helped them move from initial over‑confidence to closing their fourth deal. The conversation highlights three core themes: (1) the value of an always‑available coach and community peers who model the same practices they teach; (2) the mental shift required to persist through repeated rejections, emphasizing a "trust the system" mindset that solidified around the 30‑45‑day mark; and (3) realistic deal timelines, contrasting early expectations of closing in 5‑90 days with the actual 6‑month horizon, while tracking lead‑generation metrics and receiving pep talks from a virtual assistant (VA). The dialogue underscores that success stems from consistent effort, data‑driven tracking, and emotional support from both human coaches and automated tools.

You know, I feel like a lot of people come up to me and say, okay, well, what's the difference between like having you guys as the family and having the coach? Like, you guys are clearly extremely successful right now, about to get your 4th deal. So could you speak to that?
Yeah, our coach Mike, sitting over there holding his hand up, he's, he's been invaluable. I will tell you that he's been there for us Every time I either send him a Slack message or email or text or you name it, just like it is with all the other coaches. But yeah, we wouldn't be where we're at without him, I guarantee you that. And that was actually one of the driving forces why we became an associate.
Cameron, you got anything to add to that?
I apologized to him last night at the social because I said, I'm so sorry Greg calls you so much or Slacks you so much. It's okay. That's what I'm here for. And that's true. You've heard a lot of other associates say that. They're always available. And they practice what they preach.
They do.
That's just it. That's with an exclamation point.
No doubt.
Well, it's because our coaches did that to us before they became coaches. And some of them still do. That's the beauty of the community. Or they ask their peers who are running at the same speed as them. Biggest thing right there. So tell us about, I mean, now you have 4 wins, but tell us about what your biggest win, and it could be a deal or it could be a mindset change or—
Yeah, I think for me, the biggest thing was mindset because when we, you know, it was just interesting yesterday as we went through like the first 6 months of our journey that the mindset was probably the biggest challenge for me. Because it's so easy to give up. And I'm not a giver-up type of person, so I really didn't think that I'd, you know, feel that way. But when you've had so many nos, nos, and nos, and he's working with the sellers, you know, I'd be like, what is wrong with you? What is— why is this not working? And I just kept telling myself, we would say this to each other, trust the system. Trust the system. Trust the system. Trust the system. Trust the system. And, you know, we just have that mindset. We committed 3 years. That's our commitment. There's no turning back. And saying it is so different than actually living it. And so, you know, I would say probably at about the 30 to 45 day mark, like a light bulb just went off in my head and I haven't really felt any— you know, we are committed. This is— What is the exact timeframe I could get? Just right out of 6 months.
Yeah, 6 months. What do we say? Normally you get a deal around 6 months, or you get 4. That works too. No, they brought something yesterday, and I'd love to have you speak to this, Greg. You guys came in like super overconfident, like, I got this. Most of your students or associates are not like me. Like, I can nail this in like the first month.
Yeah. Yeah, that's exactly— I'm a dreamer. She keeps me grounded, which is cool. So, but we came in thinking, yeah, we can hammer this thing. You know, because we heard Chris saying you can get a deal in 5 days and, or between 5 and 90 days. But yeah, we'll get this thing done in 30 days. We'll get ourselves a deal. And we were pretty motivated about it. And, you know, nothing happened. Nothing happened. We weren't getting appointments. Mike was telling us, keep doing this, keep doing this, hold steady, keep, Keep treading ground. So we did. But, you know, and then between like the 90th day and 120th days, we were kind of getting down on ourselves a little bit because we were thinking, man, we can't even get an appointment. We've got all these leads, we've got all these funnels averaging about 10 leads a week. And, you know, it even got bad one day where we were— our VA had to give us a pep talk.
That's your pep talk from your VA.
Pep talk from the VA, you got it. And, and, but we knew it, it just so happened and we also began to look back at the numbers like Chris told us to keep doing and we could see a progression. We could see things getting better. We were building leads and then we were getting appointments but we weren't getting any deals and all of a sudden, bam, now it's starting to happen.
