Nobody's coming. Not the freaking market, certainly not the government, not your spouse, not your coach, nobody. And the day you truly accept that, I promise you, everything changes. Everything. And for some people, that's, that's hard to take because they rely on so many outside forces, right? I want to talk to you about something today that literally changed my life. And honestly, people spend years, years avoiding this one simple but super, super productive and profitable thing. Ready? Responsibility. That's it. And you probably knew I was going to go there when I said nobody's coming. I'm talking about real responsibility, not fake responsibility, not saying you want success, not saying you're committed, not saying out loud that you're trying. No. I mean true ownership, because true ownership is where it counts. That's when I say responsibility, complete ownership. Because here's what I see, and I see it inside our community, I see it outside our community. I see what I see— people waiting. Waiting for what? I don't know. But I'm going to give you some thoughts here. Waiting for, in this particular market, rates to drop, waiting for more confidence, waiting for the perfect deal, waiting for more money, Waiting for more time, waiting for someone to give them permission. I could go on and on. Waiting for, you fill in the blank. And all that time while you or someone else that you might see doing this are waiting, guess what? Life passes. The market moves. There's one constant in real estate, right? It constantly changes. So opportunities come and they go, they disappear. It's like water, finds a path. If it's not you, it's someone else. And somebody else takes action. Look, I totally get it. We all want certainty. We all want guarantees. We all want someone to tell us exactly what to do. But business doesn't always work that way. It just doesn't. Entrepreneurship can be hard, right? By the way, success doesn't work that way either. That's reality. Let me say that again. Success doesn't work that way either. At some point, you personally just have to realize And I know we're referring to someone else right now, but you have to realize nobody's coming. No one's going to knock on your door, hand you the business in a box, and no one's going to make the calls for you. Certainly not in our world. But generally speaking, No one's going to overcome the fear for you. And generally speaking, no one's doing that for you in the industry. No one's going to build your future for you. And before you might think, oh, you know, that sounds a little harsh, Chris, so you're being negative. Let me tell you why it can actually be, if you allow it, super empowering. Because at the same time, if nobody's coming, that means what? The solution is already sitting right in your lap. Ready? Big breakthrough here. The solution is simply you. That's the cool thing. I always say in our Deal Labs, we are the only thing in our way. Like, your mindset is the only thing in your way right now. Well, that means you also control it. You don't need permission. You don't need action. You don't need another reason. You need responsibility and ownership. That's it. You don't need more confidence. I know that's always nice when it grows, You need more reps. All this other stuff will follow. See, the most successful people that I've ever met inside and outside of our business all share mainly one thing in common, right? Get ready for this now. Here's the thing. When something goes wrong, they look in the mirror first, not at the economy, not at the market, not at the circumstances around them. The mirror. That was me at age 47. I never forget. I'm sitting in my one-bedroom apartment having downsized by the crash, and I just said to myself in the mirror, I don't think this is where I thought I'd be at age 47. Right?
