In this coaching-style YouTube segment, Chris Prefontaine shares a personal story about the slow, frustrating progress he experienced while working with a local health practitioner, highlighting a breakthrough that occurred roughly 90‑100 days ago after setting goals back in August 2021. He uses the anecdote to illustrate the broader principle that patience and persistence are essential in both personal development and creative real‑estate investing. The conversation then shifts to Rick, who announces a $60,000 "Payday 3" deal closing tomorrow, marking his second major transaction after an 18‑month timeline. Chris emphasizes that success timelines are similar for everyone, reinforcing the message that consistent effort over time leads to breakthroughs in health goals and real‑estate deals alike.

Just remind yourself that nobody here is different. Nobody. It takes time. I was at a point where I was like, all right, I'm not— I go see this guy every 4 months. I'm not making the progress. It just was the pop, the breakthrough. Here's a quick analogy, a little bit offbeat, but as far as the time it takes in getting you through this crap, uh, some of you met, um, at least the chairman have met Dr. G. Rick, you guys met him in person, I think. I don't know if Judy did. He's my local guy that I got a bunch of naturopaths I go to, but this guy's just kind of a local guy, body scans, etc. My point of telling you a story relative to this just popped in my brain from this morning is this morning I went to him and we set goals in August of '21. Now that's almost 3 years ago and it was frustrating as you know what until about 90 days ago, him and I, 90 days ago. Like, I feel like I was making zippo progress. He'd give me graphs that would go like this. Literally, maybe a blurb, maybe a blurb. And I'm talking about weight, body mass, all that stuff until 90 or 100 days ago. So it takes time. It's almost everything. I drove away from his office thinking just like we do here. And all of a sudden you hit that stride. Moneybags Rick has a $60 grand payday tomorrow. Rick, we were trying to figure out before you came on, your first deal was 15 months, right? Was this— what deal number was this that's closing tomorrow?
This is deal number 2 that's closing tomorrow.
But is your second Payday 3? I'm losing— I think so. My first Payday 3. First true Payday 3. It's actually 18 months instead of 2 years. Yeah, I said that to someone who's on here, like, that sounds quick, but that's great. Good for your buyer too, right? Nice win. Even though you would have, you would have a little more profit, but it's nice to get it done. And $60,000 doesn't suck for Payday 3.
No.
All right, so guys, the whole point is it takes time. And just remind yourself that nobody here is different. Nobody. It takes time. And I was at a point where I was like, all right, I'm not— I go see this guy every 4 months. I'm not making the progress. It just was the pop, the breakthrough.
