The Six-Figure Decision You’re Avoiding

Chris Prefontaine walks through the 3-payday real estate system that generated $5.868 million for his community in 2025. He poses three questions to shift your mindset: what will you start, stop, and do differently if success were guaranteed in 6-9 months. Two productivity hacks: zone your workspace for specific tasks with audio cues, and single-task instead of multitask, since only 2% of people can actually do both.

What one thing can you stop doing in 2026 or whatever year you're seeing this? Let's say for the next 12 months that, you know, if you stop that, it'll make room for better, bigger, greater things and you can succeed more. It's Chris Prefontaine. Welcome to this week's Motivational Monday. You know, we had a mastermind group call just to kick off 2026 just recently, a few days ago. And what I did is I asked them a few key questions. But before I did that, I gave some stats and I want to give you some stats in the SMART community in the year of 2025. I'm going to round these numbers now. In disclosure, these are projected numbers. There were what we call 68 takings, properties put under agreement. Okay. That doesn't count any family business. Just the people that are out there in the community, students just like you. The three paydays generated projected generation now because we don't know once it is under agreement, seventy-two percent of those will sell and there's these ratios we know. But but the three paydays generated out of those sixty-eight deals was five million eight five million eight hundred and sixty-eight thousand seven hundred eleven dollars. It's a big number in twenty twenty-five. Now the actual paydays paid out in twenty twenty-five out in the Smart community somewhere of students just like you from deals that were generated that year, last year, 3 years ago. Right. Because the way our system works and you'll learn if you haven't learned it, you can go to the master's class, smartrealestatecoach.com/masterclass. But the way it works is it's paid over time, right? So the 3 paydays actually paid out in students' pockets in 2025 with their deals, not from us. They're their deals. We're just helping them. Was just under $1,840,086. Pretty cool. Now, with that kind of— the reason I want to preface this Motivational Monday with that, and it doesn't matter what those numbers are, by the way, guys, they're all 3 paydays in our, in our 3 payday system is anywhere from $45,000 to $350,000 per deal depending on where you are, price range, where the deal is generated, how it's structured, etc. So, so let's forget those $20,000 to $25,000 numbers as if I didn't even give you those. Fact is, they're lucrative deals. And you learning, learning, learning, learning, learning, learning and not pulling the trigger on 3 payday deals is costing you so much money. Like I was going to say, tens of thousands and probably hundreds of thousands of dollars. Right. So here are a few things for you to think about for '26 so you can just make '26. And if, and if you're seeing this late in the year, who cares? You can make the next 12 months, right? The best ever. So I would jot this down. And if you haven't, come back to it and please give it— give me a thumbs up. Subscribe, share this. This is important. What— first question: what one thing are you doing in 2026 to raise the bar? What one thing? Think about it. I'd love to hear from you, by the way. Send me an email, chris@smartrealestatecoach.com. I'll help you with these. But one thing you're going to do differently in 2026 that, you know, if you did it and you haven't done it yet, you know, if you did it, it would raise the bar. Okay. 2, what one thing are you going to stop doing? You're going to carve it out of your day or your week. You're going to stop doing it because, you know, if you stop doing it, you'd progress. If you stopped eating that or drinking that or spending time on that or scrolling through that, if you stop doing what one thing would you progress further in whatever it is you're working on? 3rd question. This is a cool one. For you to think about. I believe this is the crux to everyone succeeding or not, fast or slow. And that is, here's the question. If you absolutely knew success was guaranteed inside of, let's say, our 3-Payday System, but it doesn't matter if you go open a restaurant, you go start a shoe store, I don't care in general, but I'm going to talk our system, right? If you knew, absolutely knew success was guaranteed And let's say it was 6 to 9 months away. What would you do differently over the next 6 to 9 months? You knew it was there. What would you do differently? Would you sprint more? Would you be more organized? Would you let go more of the crap? Would you be obsessed about getting these deals done? I don't know, but I know you'd act differently. It's different when you know you can succeed and that's the only thing stopping you. I know because I do a test almost every event. I say, I got a $100 bill in my hand. If someone can bring up— or I have $200. If someone can bring up $100, I'll hand you $200, guaranteed 100% return on your money. Why do people run up on stage? I just told them it's guaranteed. Here it is. So if you knew it was guaranteed in 6 or 9 months, what would you do differently? It's just a thought. It's a cool thought for Motivational Monday. And by the way, is it going to be uncomfortable sometimes? Like, I don't mean to go on these Motivational Mondays and try to make it look like it's warm and fluffy. It's not. But that's what we're here for. Is it uncomfortable to achieve and win and go through this journey? Yep, it's supposed to be. It's also super uncomfortable to be stuck and lacking money and lacking what you really want. So pick, pick, pick which direction. If you— if it's going to be uncomfortable either way, why not have a nice thing at the end of the tunnel? Nice light at the end of the tunnel. I think I was listening to Motiversity. If you don't listen to that on YouTube, it's really cool. Or maybe it was an Audible. But it just reminded me of the Winston Churchill quote. I keep it here on an index card. Success is the ability to go from failure to failure to failure, failure without losing your enthusiasm. Will you just think about that for a second relative to some of the stuff I just threw at you? Success is the ability to go from failure to failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm. I did a Motivational Monday recently. I don't know if it'll air before this one or after this one. But I talked about failure and I talked about the stories you tell yourself because I've been through that. And Winston Churchill's quote is really cool for that. So 2 suggestions for you and I'll wrap this Motivation Monday. One, just little hacks here. Think about the space that you do things in. I know you're probably like, this is like far from the normal Motivation Monday, but think about the space you do things in, like your work environment. It's my desk you're looking at right here. It's my office, a stand-up desk. Um, where you work. In my case, this is it. Where you journal, if you journal. I hope you do. Where you work out. Where you do your planning, think time. And if that's the same spot, this is some of the challenges. Where you meditate, if you do. Um, and be super intentional and focused in each one of the tasks in each one of the areas. Why? Like, my journaling is in a certain area and I'm in a certain frame of mind and I actually Play the Paziz app on the focus while that's going on. So like train my mind. That's what I do when I journal. My yoga is playing a certain app from it's a calm app, and it you allow you to have it. And I'll play a certain tune in there guided. In my workouts, I'm doing certain things, and it's in a certain area. Like I could go on and on. It's super important. I got some of these hacks from Jarek Robbins, Tony Robbins' son, when he coached me back in 2020 right during COVID It was an interesting time to have a coach. But these are just little hacks so that you're intentional and you're obsessed with that thing and you're not getting sidetracked. So that's suggestion one. Think about the space you do things in. 2 goes along with this. Single tasking, right? Instead of multitasking, which became this big thing, single tasking and blocking versus multitasking. Why? You guys can Google this. Don't— you don't rely on me. I'm not a scientist and I'm not a data person. But studies show that like 2% of us can multitask effectively. Yet you got people that try to multitask. So I told one of my President's Club members just last night, just last night, as of the time of this filming, she said, my desk is cluttered. And I, you know, when I go to bed, I got all this stuff all over my desk. I said, okay, hold on. Have you ever been in my office? Everybody comes in for a boot camp, and you should come in for the— in the Treasures boot camp. You haven't yet. They'll see my desk is totally clean. Why? Because at night when I leave, if everything's on my desk, it might be now if I'm working, but if everything's on my desk, then my brain is subconsciously like working through all that crap. How can I even like get through the night? It's going to keep me up. And if it doesn't keep me up, it's going to be working on stuff it shouldn't be working on. Your subconscious mind does this shit. So instead it has a home. It has a— it lives in a 1 through 31 tab in my file drawer to my back left. Which means on that day of the week, that's the day I pull it out. Why would I see before that? Or it goes in my journal or it goes in my Asana, which is how we do our tasks in our company, or it gets communicated or delegated out right away because studies show that only 2% of us can multitask effectively. Not sure where to get started? Go to smartrealestatecoach.com/getgoing for free books, strategy calls, and a whole bunch more. We're going to help you get going the wicked smart way. We've been after this for over a decade doing exactly that. I get this out of the last book I was reading too. Stanford University did a whole study on multitasking and single focus, and the results are over the top, like even more strong than I was saying, the 2%. So I just, again, I'm pulling this, guys, from stuff I read because the more we read, the more we are tuned to this stuff and the more we can fine-tune to get ourselves up into the top 2 or 3% income bracket and do it the right way and have fun doing it. So I hope these hacks helped you. I mentioned the master's class and I mentioned that in the Trenton Bootcamp. SmartRealEstateCoach.com. You can find most stuff there. Most stuff we do is free.
