Welcome to this week's Motivational Monday. I want to share with you what we do on a weekly basis as part of what I want to share with you today. And that is on a weekly basis we get with— I personally get with our High 6 community with my partner in crime Brian O'Neill. We both coach High 6. Then our certified coaches coach the other levels. On a recent mastermind, however we get on this rant, I talked about the creative real estate vehicle, sort of timing in this market of that vehicle, which I think is absolutely amazing. Couldn't be better in my 32 years. I'll tell you, it's the best it's been for creative. Then I talked about how they could literally— now these are students already of ours, picture— how they could literally accomplish anything they want utilizing this as their vehicle if they're willing to dig a little bit. And I'll explain what that means in a little bit. If they're willing to have some grit. And if they're willing to be obnoxiously persistent. And I talked about that for a little while. And then after I talked about it, I brought on the call, which I often do, Peter Taunton. Peter built one of the largest fitness brands in the world and is a partner in our company now, the Wicked Smart Companies and Smart Real Estate Coach. And he got on and his sole purpose was to answer questions for the High 6. This is just part of the exposure I give them. It's an amazing experience because who we hang out with really does matter. And no coincidence, someone asked him what he thinks is required for success in this market and what he saw in hindsight that enabled him to build, and himself, to build a company that he sold twice for over $40 million. So he's profited $80 million on one company he still owns a piece of. And you know what he said? Grit and persistence. He didn't use the word dig because that was something I used and I want to come back to it in a little bit here. Now picture this. This is in a time— he and I got on there and boldly said that to everybody there and said, you can transform your life doing this. And this is in a time when the media and people in general are negative. This tough times right now. I'm not saying this is not. I'm not watering that down. It's wintertime, so to speak, economically for some people. And some people are stressed. I get all that. But during that, as I said when I opened up this video, is we're in an interesting spot creative real estate-wise. And we're in an interesting spot because you're seeing us— hopefully this is not the very first time, but you're seeing us in a time where we just now, January of '23, not too long ago, started our brand new 3-year mission. And that mission is all about transforming the lives of serious and committed real estate investors into wicked smart investors, profiting on the 3 paydays, crushing it, building a business. Now, as I said, I'm in my 32nd year. And there are some things that I know have to happen that I shared with this high 6 group that I want to share with you. First of all, you got to determine and be honest with this where you are presently and where you're looking to go. And then be honest about what those roadblocks are in the way so we can determine how big that gap is. Is it going to take you a year to get to your first deal? I don't know yet till we peel back the layers. Is it going to take 30 days? Don't know yet. Then we— I want to make sure that you know if that destination we're talking about ripping through and having grit and persistence and getting to, is it compelling enough to go through the speed bumps you're going to have to go through? I'm telling you, you're going to have to go through some and it's going to be frustrating. I had an accountability partner of mine recently say to me, Steven Westner, said to me, Chris, you know what most people don't realize? He said, this is hard. Like building a business is hard. And I said, yeah, it is. And we laughed about it. But that's a fact. And I don't want to throw that under the rug. There's too many real estate trainers out there right now screaming to you, get rich quick in real estate. Do this and tomorrow you'll have $1 million. It's not the case. Sorry to say it, but I am here to say, once we rip this apart with you and we teach you how to do this and you take full advantage of understanding how to pivot in markets, you are going to be thrilled when you look back in hindsight and you're going to have that skill set for life. Okay. Number 2. Number 2 requires that— I said this to my students, now take it in mind, but if this is for you in anything you do, I hope it helps you. Show up 100% and honor yourself and your commitment. I'm going to give you a simple acronym. Many of you have probably seen this: DWY SWD. Do what you say you'll do. Do what you say you'll do. DWY SWD. Now, what does that mean? In the case of our students, I said this means engaging with the coaches in the community. And I used the word dig when I opened this up. I said to them, look, when I say engage with the coaches in the community, Dig, find out what your gap is, what your challenges are, what your speed bumps are to get to your ultimate destination, and find someone that you can talk to that's already done it. That's no different than I did after the 2008 crash. I found myself in my head blaming myself for the market. And so what I did is I said, okay, I got to do some digging here. I got to find people that went through what I went through and came out way better off. And that's what I did. But it took me 4 years to do it. Don't wait that long. Find someone right now, whether it's in our community or somewhere else, that's going through what you went through and is where you want to be. Okay. Number 3, create new habits. I said to them, this is at the beginning of '23. I said, how about if you guys all list 23 new habits you'll do for 2023 and submit those to me? Now, if you're outside our community, I encourage you to do the very same thing and email them to me. Yes, I'll see your email personally. Send it to chris@smartrealestatecoach.com. Now, What are these 23 things? 23 simple new habits or disciplines that you know if you did, you would move the needle the fastest, create more profit, get healthier, whatever it is for you. And they should encompass all areas of your life, by the way. That's why I use those examples. So 23 would take you at about 2 a month. That's not hard if you think about it. 2 simple new disciplines per month for the next year. I had some of the more driving, like, A-type personality, high 6 members say to me, Well, I made the list and like all of them I want to start now. And I said, that's not realistic. You're not going to do it. And in 90 days you're going to be pissed off and frustrated. So instead, give me a calendar that says these 2 in January, these 2 in February, these 2 in March, etc. So we set up some accountability around that. And the reason I ask them to do that is this. It's a simple fact that we all have about 167 thoughts, let's call it just general thoughts a day. And 95% of those statistically Are the same as we had yesterday. So let's think about that. If you want a different result, yet we know 95% of our thoughts are repeat from yesterday, how are we going to do that? We need some outside influence. We need different and new disciplines. We need different and new habits. That's why I encourage them to do that. Now, this got done just in one weekly call. So I hope I gave you some nuggets there, but I also want to make sure you understand how powerful it is to be hanging out With that kind of a group on a weekly basis. Now, you can't get on the coaching calls unless you're in the community, and I encourage you to apply if that's what you want to do. But in the meantime, you can hang out at one of our events. We do 2 live events a year. Or you can come to— and you can come to every single week our Wicked Smart Sit-Down, 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, every Thursday afternoon. Every Thursday unless it's a holiday or some— or there's an event going on for our community. And if you want to find out more about that, You should be getting notified on our list by email, by text. If not, just go to smartrealestatecoach.com/events and you'll get the schedule. But it's every single Thursday. Look forward to seeing you on there. Look forward to helping you with your 23 for 23. If you've seen this later in the year, we'll go 24 for 24. It doesn't matter. We'll help you get there. Look forward to working together.
