What launched us in real estate investing was a weekend seminar by Rich Dad Poor Dad. The trainer, I can call him that, really was sold on rent-to-own or lease option. He talked about it a lot. And by the time I was finished with the weekend seminar on Sunday, A, we had decided that that was our ticket to leave Ottawa, and B, rent-to-own was going to be the strategy.
