Short monologue (YouTube video) giving practical advice for staying calm and confident in conversations—especially sales—by deliberately slowing body movements, adopting a permissive mindset, and treating awkward moments as learning opportunities until the behavior becomes subconscious.
So going into any conversation, I would say if that's something you feel like you struggle with, just keep it in mind. Like, hey, I'm gonna be the most comfortable person in this conversation. So slow your body down. No sudden movements. Move like you're in water, okay? Which is gonna help you slow down and just give yourself permission to be comfortable in this situation. If you never see that dude again in your entire life, like, you're gonna be fine, like legitimately. So just give yourself permission to be comfortable. And for me that always helped, especially at the beginning. And then eventually you do it enough it just becomes subconscious. But while you're doing it, so it's like, hey man, I'm going to be the most comfortable person in this conversation. If his ball is up in my face, that's fine. I'll take it as a learning moment. I can't lose.
