🤡 "Can I get a refund if it doesn't work?" vs $8M closer

Christian Polk sells an $8,000 four-month program to a prospect worried about getting a refund if it doesn't work. Polk argues that focusing on failure invites failure, using a Porsche analogy to show how attention shapes reality. He closes by asking if the prospect is willing to invest in themselves with the right mindset.

Yeah. So the investment to go ahead is going to be $8,000 for the 4 months. Any questions on how it works, man?
Let's say I do all the work, but worst case it just doesn't work. Can I have some sort of refunds?
We can talk about it, but why would you be planning for failure?
I don't know, man. Programs like these sometimes are dodgy.
Do I seem dodgy?
I can't tell. You know, it just can never be too sure.
Yeah. No, no, I get it, bro. I can see like where you're coming from. But like, dude, one of the biggest things that we really have to pay attention to right now, our mentality and where our focus is, because like ultimately with anything in life, oftentimes whatever you're focusing on, man, like you'll definitely get it. Like, for example, when I bought my Porsche, I never saw Porsches. Now I see Porsches everywhere. And it's not because everyone bought a Porsche as soon as I bought one. It's just because like now that's where my focus is. So the same thing here. If we're focusing on like, oh, what if I don't get results? What if I fail? Can I get a refund? If that's our focus, like, what type of results do you feel like we're going to get?
I'll focus on not succeeding.
Yeah, we're just going to be focusing on failure, bro. On the other end, if we just focus on like, hey, I'm going to join this and I'm just going to do whatever is required to get the actual outcome that I need. What type of outcomes do you feel like we're going to get if that's our mentality going into it?
I'm more likely to succeed then.
So it's like, why would we adopt a mindset and a mentality and a focus that is more likely that we're not going to succeed? Like, why would we do that?
See, that just been there before, man. It's, it's tough.
I get it, man, and I'm not going to take that away from you. Like, it definitely is tough, but at the end of the day, it just comes down to, again, like, how are we viewing and where is our focus at? Because right now, even though we've been burned before in the past, does that mean we're going to stop investing in ourselves and stop growing?
No, of course not.
So it comes down to right now, if we know we're going to keep growing, we know we're going to keep investing in ourselves. Let's just make sure we invest in ourselves with the right mentality and the right focus. Is that something you'd be willing to do?
I need to do that.
Why would you be willing to do that?
I need to improve, you know, my objection handling. So that's— it's the reason I'm not building as much skills as I could.
Well, you want to learn how to objection handle like I'm objection handling right now?
Yes, I do.
Let's just put our focus where it needs to be and like, let's just go ahead and get started.
All right, let's do it.
