A short motivational sales coaching monologue (YouTube) by Christian Polk that teaches a concrete persistence tactic for difficult sales calls: verbally commit to "stay as long as it takes" on the call until the prospect agrees to move forward. The speaker explains why this reduces resistance, offers an alternate script referencing the call "exit X" in the corner, and urges listeners to use the line on their next call to close deals.
Here's what you're going to do at the. At the next. Next sales call that you have that you're going through the motions or you're going in circles and they're just not buying. Okay? All you're going to do is just say, like, hey, I'll stay as long as it takes. You and I both agree that this is something you need to do. So I'm not going to hop off this call. You leaving the same way you came on this call because we both know you need to change. So whatever's holding you back right now, like, we're going to deal with this together. I'll stay as long as it takes. And you just saying that, hey, I'll say as long as it takes. Dude, it really cuts down the time you actually have to spend because people stop putting up a fight, okay? Because they're just like, well, this guy's not going to give up. I know I should do it. It. I'm going to go ahead and do it. Another way you can say it is like, hey, there's an X up there in the corner, right? And you can always exit this call, but you haven't yet. And what that tells me is deep down, you know you should do this. I know you should do this. And I'm gonna stay as long as it takes until we do what we both agree we should do. So I'm here to help you. What's really holding you back? You do that on the next one. Don't give up on them, you'll close that deal.
