How to handle the "π€ I need to think about it π€¨" sales objection βοΈ

Christian Polk shows why salespeople lose deals when they overcomplicate the "I need to think about it" objection. Instead of scheduling follow-ups or making promises, ask what they actually need to consider, then send testimonials or reviews right away to keep momentum.

I need to think about it. I need time. I mean, of course you do. We've only been talking for likeβ
Nothing says respect me like showing your cleavage. Let's see where this goes.
30 minutes, I'd be the same way. And just to be clear too, I don't want you to make a decision on something that you're not 100% confident about. If you're not there yet, let's not make a decision. Put yourself on the same side.
Going way too overboard. It's not needed. Just a simple, oh, like, what do you need to go over in your mind just to see if I can help? Works so much easier. You don't need to be over the top like this.
Is that make them feel good? Oh, I got you. How long do you think you need? A day, two days. I just like to sleep on it. Want to take the night? Honestly, double it. I'll give you two days. Perfect. I just sent over that calendar invite for a fault.
Again, just going over the top and like it doesn't actually benefit you if you get them to agree. Like oh, instead of one day, I need two days. Again, it does nothing for you. If anything, it can hurt you. This is a fake follow up. I'm about to close the deal. I don't schedule follow ups. I like to make money on the call, okay?
And while you're doing your job thinking about it, I'll do my job and send you over all of the information. That way, when you actually sit down and think about it, you have all of the information at your fingertips. So I'm typing up the email right now. What were those three things that you want me to put in the email that you can look over later?
All the testimonials, the reviews, and the blah blah blah. Oh my gosh!
I didn't show you the testimonials yet. Don't worry. I'll send this all over. Ten times easier just to screen share really quick. Boom! You're screen sharing reviews, testimonials, or whatever their objection was. And now you're just back into the sales pitch. You are welcome.
Yeah, that, that's decent. Like you're just getting right back in the pitch again. It's overly complicated for no reason. When they say they need to think about it, just simple, nonchalant. Okay, no issues. Just so I can send you over the most relevant information. What do you need to go over in your head just to see if I can help? Right. They're gonna tell you what the objection is. You go about handling it. There's just extra steps here. You going a little bit above and beyond. Ultimately, that stuff doesn't help you. It can hurt you though. So I don't recommend it. But she is correct. You need to actually get behind the objection and actually handle it. Think about objection. Not real.
