YouTube reaction video by Christian Polk (uploaded Jan 12, 2026) presenting a recorded cold-call between a telemarketer (Speaker A) and Mike, the owner. The clip shows an abrasive sales approach (repeated demands like "Am I talking with the owner or what?") and the owner's brief responses; Polk provides reaction and commentary elsewhere in the video.

Am I talking with the owner or what?
How can I help you?
I asked you a question. Answer. Am I talking with the owner or what?
Okay, hold on one second. Let me try to send that on. Hello, this Mike.
Yo. Is this the owner or what?
Yes, I'm the owner, sir. How you doing?
I'm doing pretty good, man. I'm not gonna hold you too long. I'm gonna be honest with you, though. I don't know you. You don't know me. I'm just trying to make a paycheck. Is that pretty. Is that fair?
Paycheck for what?
Well, for this phone call, obviously. I'm just saying that I don't actually give a about you, and I know you don't give a about me. Is that pretty fair or what?
Okay, what are you looking for? Just. But give the bottom of this.
Basically, I'm here to just sell you a product. If it works, it works. If it don't, it don't.
Yes, sir.
Does that sound cool?
Yeah. What do you have?
Yeah, so I bet I have an AI system that can literally do.
I'm losing my. Obviously, you probably shouldn't be calling people heads and things like that when you're calling up, but why this can work. Or, like, really the avenue he's taking is it's a pattern interrupt being, like, just so straightforward. I'd be curious of how many people he had to call to actually be able to show one time that it did work. There are much better ways to, like, pattern interrupt while not calling people, but kudos to him for finding the one person that gets told that they're. And he doesn't care about them, and they still want to hear what he has to say. That's a good chuckle.
