A short YouTube transcript excerpt (coach: SPEAKER A; participant: SPEAKER B) showing a sales-coaching exchange. The coach probes the participant's discomfort with personal questions, emphasizes that help must be customized, and challenges the participant to admit how being stuck in sales for about five years and not earning desired income has affected them personally. Tone is supportive, diagnostic, and accountability-focused.
Excuse me.
How would that make you feel? Like.
Came on for some, like, sales training? Like, I don't really feel like I feel comfortable asking that.
Yeah. What do you mean? What's behind that.
Dude? I mean, you're.
You're. I get.
What.
You'Re doing. Pause real quick. Right? If you got what I was doing right, you probably want to need help with. With sales, right? So it's like, let's put that first side for a second, man. Because, like, ultimately, like, what we do and how we help is going to be custom to you. And in order for me to actually, like, help you to the best of my ability, we need to understand exactly what your situation is. That way we can actually change. Like, would you agree with that?
Yeah.
I get that. Why would you agree with that, though?
Well, because again, like, you said, everything's, like.
Custom. Yeah. It's going to be like, you go to a doctor and you tell them, hey, no questions. Just give me some pills. What would any sane doctor tell you? Yeah, it's going to be a weird conversation. And then we got to hit it from the other point, right? It's like, number one, like, we have to understand what's going on. And then number two is, like, the idea of comfortability. Because if you're trying to get to someplace you've never been before, is it going to be the same comfortable route that you've always taken? Yeah, why not? Nobody grows comfortable. So the fact that this is a little bit uncomfortable because it's like, these questions are uncomfortable for a reason. The fact that they are uncomfortable means, like, we're on something that's actually important because it wasn't important, man. Like, you wouldn't have any problem just, like, answering it, right? So be real, man, because, like, I'm in your corner and I want to see you win. But in order for us to actually move out of who we have been, we have to admit, like, that is no longer okay and actually mit the reality of the situation. So you being stuck where you have been for the past five years, not being able to make the money you truly want to make, dude, like, what actual impact has that had on you personally.
Dude? It's been hard.
In what way?
It kind of feels like I got into sales for nothing. I feel like I'm working more hours in sales than if I just got hit.
And I appreciate you being real about that. And, like, that's the first step.
