"I'm so sorry, I just wasted all your time." vs. $8M Closer

A sales coach tries to convince a prospect to pay $8,000 for a course to break a debt cycle. The prospect says it's three months of savings and too risky. The coach uses reframing and questions about deeper goals, then offers to split it: $4,000 now, $4,000 in a month.

So the investment required is going to be $8,000.
I'm so— I'm sorry, I just wasted all your time. I can't. I can't do that.
Hey, it's okay. Take a breath, bro. You're not wasting anyone's time. I'm here to help. What's coming up for you right now?
It's $8,000. That's like 3 months worth of savings. I can't do that.
If we just put the money aside, is this something you would actually want to go ahead and move forward with? Why would you, though?
If this works, I change so much about my life. I move out of this place.
But it's like, why? Why actually invest in yourself so you can make more money, you can move? Like, why actually do that stuff? Because that's the important why.
Every one of my loans. I just live a better life.
Yeah, man. And I appreciate you being open with me with that. I hate to ask, though, how are we ever going to break out of this cycle? Being in debt, not having the money, like $8,000 being the lot. How are we ever going to break out of this cycle if we never actually get the skill to actually make more money? How are we ever going to break out of this cycle? I can win the lottery. I'll make the money. Yeah, you got more likelihood of getting struck by lightning. Is that a good strategy to make money? So how are we going to break out of this cycle if we don't learn the skills?
There's no other way.
And how long have we been stuck in this cycle?
3 years. Stuck at the same impact.
Do you want to stay there? Because you could.
Of course not.
If it's a course not, why right now are we choosing to stay in that same cycle? Because it is a choice.
It's just scary.
If this wasn't scary, that means like we're not talking about anything important. Because who do you know who grows inside their comfort zone?
No one.
If you're over there cool as a cucumber, I'd have to check your pulse, bro. Like right now, it's like we're deer crossing the road and we have the headlights coming towards us, just staying the same, same cycle, same everything. And there's really two options. We can get those headlights, allow the fear to just make it to where you can't move, we get hit. Or we can those lights, staying in the same cycle, and we use that fear and we just get out the way. Like, which one would you rather do?
Gotta get out the way.
Why?
I'll just stay broke, making the same I'm making now.
Are we willing to allow this to happen?
Yeah.
Let's not focus on what we can't do. Let's focus on what we can actually do to get out of the way. So bills, expenses aside, like, what are you actually working with? That way we can create something for you to get you out of the way, and that way we can get the skills.
We're going to keep in a savings account and a credit card, but it's almost maxed out.
If we can split it into two, $4K now and then in a month from now $4K, is that something that would work for you.
Okay. Did you send me the payment link?
