"My dad will talk to you π«ͺπ£οΈ" vs $8M Closer ππ

Christian Polk talks to a prospect hesitant about a $25,000 business investment who keeps saying he needs his dad's approval. Polk pushes back on the prospect's self-doubt and explores whether he's actually ready to commit or just looking for permission to say no.

My dad needs to speak to you first. He's in business, so a lot more experience than the both of us. So I'll speak to him first and I trust him.
Yeah, love to hear it, man. Just so we're on the same page and I can, I can send you over the most relevant information. What do you feel like that conversation is mostly going to be about?
If I'm not crazy, you know, I just think I don't trust myself sometimes. And, you know, he's my dad.
Yeah. Is there anything that we went over in terms of like the program, how it works, how it's structured that you feel like he might be apprehensive about?
Maybe the investment or like if I can trust you guys. This is the first call, so I'm like, okay.
Well, in terms of the investment, because we can always figure that part out. Does the investment actually work for you? Like if you had to do it today?
It does. Yeah.
You don't seem too sure about it.
Well, it's $25,000 and a quarter of $100,000.
So in terms of for you, like the investment, like, is that something you can actually do or is it not possible?
It's possible. It's possible.
So if you had to do it today, we can run it.
Yes.
What would happen if you did go to him and just for whatever reason, right? Maybe he just doesn't like my face and he's just like, "You should not do this." Is this something that's completely dead in the water or would we still move forward?
I think I would still maybe do it. I mean, he is retired.
I thought you said retarded for a second. But why would you still do it?
Well, I mean, I can stand on my own two feet. I know I can probably pull something together.
Yeah. When you say pull something together, are we talking about the investment or what do you mean by that?
He would also do that too. It'd be less burden on my shoulders and it's not just me, you know, going all in.
So can I share perspective on that? Yeah. Yeah. Because like ultimately how you enter this in terms of your mentality, how you attack this is greatly going to impact the actual results that we're going to get. Because like ultimately, like we're looking to step into like buying a business, becoming a business owner. So us stepping into that, do you feel like on some level becoming that business owner, it's going to require us to actually go all in?
Mentally, yeah, I would say.
Why would you say that though?
If I split my focus, I'm not going to get 100% and I'm not going to get sufficient results.
Just with anything. So if you know, like whether he's on board, whether he's not on board, we're going to move forward regardless. Then the only thing right now that we're fighting and we're pushing up against is just going to be time. So it really comes down to for you, if we're, if we're thinking about being the person who is all in, who is a business owner, who we truly want to be, does that business owner come up to the opportunity of investing in themselves, growing their business, and they put a pin in it and they go away? Or are they a type of person who takes and jumps on that opportunity so they can actually move as quick as possible. Like, what do you feel like we need to do?
Yeah, I guess I gotta just do it. Talk to me. What can we do to make this work?
Okay, let's run through it, bro.
