When a prospect says they need to talk to their partner, don't just accept it and hang up. That's usually a smokescreen for real concerns about time, money, or value. Ask what they'll discuss, find the actual objection, and address it on the call to keep momentum and close the deal.

If you ever let your prospects speak to their wives on a sales call, let's be real. You're kind of a bitch. That gets you a frowny face. Now, why do you not want to do this on a sales call? First things first, you have to understand what a partner objection is. Most the time it is not a real objection. It is a smokescreen. What do they need to talk to their partner about? They need to talk to the partner about the money, the uncertainty, the time. Whatever it is, it needs to be a real, actual objection. So if we just take, hey, let me speak to my partner at face value and just let them off the call, we're not actually addressing the real concern that is happening, which is either the time, the money, or the value. What you need to do instead is you need to flush it to a real objection you can actually handle. And this is how you're going to do it. When they say, hey, let me talk to my wife. Okay, not a problem. Just so I can send you the most relevant information over to you, what is that conversation mostly going to be about? Just to see if I can help. They'll tell you it's either the time, money, or value. Once you get that objection, then you just go ahead and handle it. That way you can go ahead and get them done and dusted. Use this on your next sales call and I promise you, you'll close the partner objection.
