POV: How to handle no-shows in your sales calls π» π€

When a prospect misses a sales call, frame it as your problem, not theirs. Madison shows how: say your previous call ran over, resend the link via text, and keep the tone light. This removes guilt and pressure, making them more likely to join.
Hello, it's Coach Max.
Hey, Max, how are you?
I'm good. How you doing?
I'm doing good, thank you. This is Madison fromβ Does that ring a bell for you? I am doing great. Thanks for being patient with me. My previous call ran a little bit over. When it comes to this, would youβ would you be able to hop in the Zoom room that I sent you over?
You sent it to me via email or it was via text message?
Yeah, it was via email. There you go. I just sent it over to your text message.
Okay, I got it.
Yep. Perfect. I'll see you here in just a moment.
Okay. Bye-bye.
That's how you do it, ladies and gentlemen. You call, no show. Tell them, hey, sorry, previous call was running a little bit over. Are you able to hop in the Zoom room? Oh, I didn't see the Zoom room. Oh, let me send it over to you. There we go, ladies and gentlemen. He's in the Zoom room.
Now, the tactic of saying like, oh, like, I'm running late, forgive me, like, what you're doing is you're really taking whatever type of objection they have and you're taking it away from them. In a no-show like this, or somebody's running late, or they can't find the actual Zoom link. Honestly, it's not needed. Why it works is because you're taking the pressure off. Like, it's no big deal that they haven't shown yet, because what will cause people to like completely ghost if they do accidentally no-show is because they feel bad. So if you call them up, you can use something like this, or you can just like, you know, humorously point out that it's like, hey, over waiting in the Zoom room, I'll forgive you this time, right? Just make it to where it's a nonchalant, not big deal. This will make it where people actually show up. Overall, this is a pretty solid way to re-engage somebody who's not showing up to their actual sales call.
