the laziest way to make $100k/mo closing

In this solo YouTube video Christian Polk argues that working harder in sales does not equal more money. He shares his personal recent results—three sales calls, two closes, $13,500 in straight commissions—and outlines a two‑part formula to reach $100k+ per month while taking fewer calls and selling only other people’s high‑ticket offers. The first part focuses on leveraging negotiation power: top‑performing closers should demand higher commission splits (10‑14%) by demonstrating the extra cash they generate for the company and by eliminating lower‑performing teammates, thereby increasing their leverage. Polk illustrates this with a fictional closer “Joe” who could boost his commissions from $70k to $98k by negotiating a higher split after taking over the calls of two under‑performers. The second part stresses selling ultra‑high‑ticket products (>$20k, up to $85k) to wealthy prospects rather than low‑ticket offers ($3k‑$10k) to cash‑strapped buyers. He compares several case studies—Tim (high volume, $3k offers, $8‑10k/mo), John (low volume, $20k offers, $20‑30k/mo), Jack (selling $30‑$85k offers, $50k/mo) and his own experience closing $30k‑$85k deals for $6.7k‑$8.5k commissions. Polk claims that by combining higher commission splits with high‑ticket offers, a closer can earn $200k+ in commissions while working under 40 hours a week. He plans to systematize this model for other closers, moving them onto better offers and eventually charging higher fees for his mastermind coaching. The video is a mix of instructional advice, provocative language, and personal anecdote, aimed at sales closers seeking to maximize earnings with minimal effort.

Working harder in sales will not make you more money. Last week I took a total of 3 sales calls. I closed 2 of them and I made $13,500 in straight commissions. I am on a path to make over $100,000 per month in straight commissions, taking less than 4 sales calls per day, not selling my own offer, not selling sales training, selling other people's stuff so I can prove it can be done and then I can systematize that to every single person I work with, I can get them to that level. So there's really two things that clicked in my mind over this past month that allowed all this stuff to just fall into place. So I'll go over those two things on how you can be lazier and make more money in sales. Okay, so how did I come to this realization? Now, I've helped at this point hundreds of closers, and there is a distinct difference between the situation that allows people to make $50,000, $60,000, $70,000 per month, and then the situation that keeps people stuck at $10,000 per month. The very first thing that we're gonna talk about is going to be negotiation, right? Now, a lot of people, I do not see them talking about this, like, at all. Now, when we're talking about negotiation, what really helped this click in my head? Now, I'm gonna talk about some stories, but I'm gonna use not their real names so I can be a little bit more transparent about their actual numbers. Without people getting mad at me, I've had that happen before. So we have a closer here, let's call him Joe, okay? Now Joe, he makes $28,000 in commissions, okay? This is what he made last month. And he closes at 35% on a $12K offer. Now Joe was telling me that he's getting around, around 55 calls, okay, per month right now. And there are 2 other closers, let's just say Closer 1, or let's just say Closer 2 and Closer 3, right, if I can spell, right, Closer 3. Now they are both getting about 55 calls each, so let's just call this 110, and they are closing at a 20% close rate. Alright, so Joe is very clearly in the, like he's very clearly in the lead. Now, 55 sales calls, if we could do a little bit of math, like on my fucking calculator here, 'cause I didn't get into sales 'cause I can math good. If we divide that by 4, that's like 14 sales calls per week, right? And for most, again, if we're talking about like 14 per week, per day, we're talking about 2 to 3 sales calls per day. Now, Joe here wants to work more hours, he wants to make more money. So the very first thing we have to understand is, it is literally costing the company money right now to fill up Closer 2 and Closer 3 calendar, and because they're closing at 20%, and Joe here is closing at 35%, so there's literally a 15% difference. And we did the math, and literally it is costing the company, okay? Let's say company loss, just from Joe not taking all the calls equals $180,000 in cash that the company is not collecting because Joe isn't taking the calls. So just from this alone, just from you being the number one closer, you actually looking at the numbers, you doing the math, and then like push for yourself. I told him he needs to be in his owner's ear getting these other closers fired. There is no reason these other closers should be on this offer if Joe is willing to sit there and take anywhere from 8 to 9 sales calls per day, which he is willing to do. And just by that alone, just by that alone, doing absolutely nothing else, nothing else, he is able to triple the amount of volume. And if everything else stays equal, let's say even drops a little bit, but let's just say 28 times times 3, he's at now, he's at $84K commissions. Let's just cut it and just say he's at like, now he's at like $70K in commissions. Just by getting these other people fired, as he should, because it's costing the company a lot of fucking money, okay? Now he's just collecting all that commissions. But here's the other thing. Now, if you're going to take on all this work, why should you only be getting paid 10%? You are going to help the company make an extra $180,000 in straight cash because you are much better at sales than all these other fucktards who are on this offer, right? I'm sure they're nice people, I'm just being provocative, okay? So just by that alone, you should be pushing for higher commission structure if you hit a higher cash collection, whether it be 12%, whether it be 14%, it doesn't matter what it is, you should push for more. 'Cause let's just say for an example, he's closing and he's making $700K in cash collected. Just because he's getting more volume, which is very, very reasonable if this guy puts in the work. Very, very, very reasonable, okay? Now, that is $70K commissions if he's only getting 10%, right? Which is pretty good, like don't get me wrong. But if we raise it to where he can get either 12, or I would push for 14% if he hits certain targets, then he goes from $70K to $98,000 in commissions. Just from that alone, like just from hitting his cash collection targets, he goes from $70K to $98K. Now you're thinking, why would this company pay him an extra $28,000 on top of the cash he's collecting from like just a base 10%? Well, if you want to keep the top closers, and most companies do, they don't want to deal with all these fucking closers. They don't know how to train them. They don't know how to deal with them. They will pay you what you are worth because he's going to get paid an extra $28,000, but he's bringing the company company in, an extra $180,000. That is what he is bringing them in. So just from that alone, the company makes an extra $180,000, they pay you an extra $28,000. Everyone is happy in this situation. They have to manage less salespeople, their income, their revenue in the business becomes much more predictable, and you will stay for the long term. Companies will make this trade. This is what you have to understand. But most people, they do not negotiate. Now, if you are on a bigger team, you have less negotiating power. But he is on a smaller team of 3 people and he's really close with the actual owner. He can very, very realistically get this done and he is pushing for it. And hopefully I'll have an update next month when I have the interview with them talking about how he hit $70K to $90K in pure commissions. This is something that is doable. So what you have to think about is whatever situation you're in, how can you get more leverage? How can you negotiate? Now, if you're not good at what you do, you cannot fucking do this. If you're not the top guy on the team, you cannot do this because you don't have the leverage. So if you're at this point and you're thinking, oh, I don't have any leverage in my situation, get your fucking skill up, buddy. And then you can actually have negotiating power and get to 12 to 14% commissions and then make an extra $10,000 to $28,000 in commissions just by actually pushing and negotiating more. Okay, so the second thing that I want to talk about, and this one was a really, really, really big breakthrough for me, is super high-ticket offers. Okay, now a lot of people are on offers where they're selling something and it is anywhere from like $3K to $10K, which again, like, those are not bad high-ticket offers. But what really clicked in my head is if you're able to sell something that is at least, at the very least, $20,000 plus, and I've seen some offers and I've helped people get placed on offers here recently, that their offers go all the way up to like $85,000, right? Like 85, so if I close a deal, I am making 8.5K on each deal that I close, right? And that's how I'll talk about how I made $13,000 in just 2 sales, right? So $85K, and let's just say you're getting 10% 'cause you can't negotiate worth a shit, then again, every $85K deal, you're getting $8.5K. So how did this really click in my head and how can you utilize this? So again, I'll use a couple of examples of closers that I'm working with. Let's call one of them Tim, right? We got Tim here. Now Tim, he closes at 60%. And Tim takes a high volume of calls. But Tim sells an offer that is literally fucking $3,000, right? So he, Tim, which I've actually helped him since, but Tim was averaging $8,000 to $10,000 per month in commissions. Which again, especially like for a 19-year-old, not that bad, right? Like he's doing good, he's living a good life, but He's working a lot, he's grinding, and he is stuck in that $8,000 to $10,000 fucking limbo of high-ticket sales, of just enough to know you're not making real money, okay? Now next we have over here, we have John. Now John closes anywhere from like 30% to 40%. John takes a low volume of calls, right? Low volume, right, if I could spell. But John sells something that is a $20K package. John has only been a closer for 2 months and he averages $20K in commissions and he is on pace this month to hit $30K in commissions. What is the difference here? John is talking to people who already have money. He is selling an offer that is number one, high ticket, But also number 2, just to even think about this offer, you have to understand you need money to do it, right? It's in a buy a business niche. If I'm looking to buy a business, for example, I need to have some fucking capital to throw at this. I know I need money and I need credit in order to actually buy a business. So what does John do? He talks to people who are high net worth individuals C-suite executives, and he takes $20,000 off of them, which for some of them is a big chunk of change, but they're not gonna die. Tim, on the other hand, talks to broke fucking college students, and $3,000 is all the fucking cash in their goddamn bank account. So Tim is sitting there objection handling people for 3 hours to make $300, and dude, I've been there. I've literally been there. I've taken people's last $1,000. It took me 3 hours to do so, and I'm literally making $20 an hour like a fucking McDonald's worker, right? Like, I've been there and it does help with your skill, but it is not scalable if you want to be making really, really good money. Okay. Now we have another example here of somebody who, like, this was a person who really helped it crystallize. This is actually somebody who I hadn't been training, but he reached out for training. Let's just call him Jack, right? I'm real original with these names, by the way. Now Jack is selling offers from $30K to $85K, and Jack was already making, already making $50K per month in commissions. Now Jack is pretty good at sales, but he's not elite level at sales. He's not. And we're working right now to get him to $100K per month in pure commissions, which I feel like is very, very possible with the offer, with the skill set, and everything that we're talking about. But just because he was selling much more high-ticket things, he was making $50K per month, right? And again, not talking to broke people. And I can speak about this for myself. Now, the last offer I was on before I started coaching was a very, very high-ticket trading algorithm. That's $30K, okay? It only was targeting people who had money. And because of that, I was able to make $60K per month. But the thing is, The thing that blew my mind, when I hopped on that offer, there were dogshit closers. Closers who are not very good at what they do. And they were making $30K per month. The average closer there was making above $25,000 per month. On my previous offer, which I'm not gonna tell you too much about it, 'cause I don't want more legal letters, okay? This was the most elite of salespeople, okay? And there was only one person who was consistent consistently doing over $50,000 per month, only one person. And he was working 16 hours, 7 days a week. I was never willing to do that. So I never reached those heights at that offer. But when I took that same skill set and then I just started selling rich people, started actually taking less calls, I made more money than I ever made in sales before in my entire life. Okay. And this is also how this past week I made over $13,000 in commissions, only taking 3 sales calls. I had 1 booked call. I pipeline closed 2 people. I just had hopped on the offer. And because I— it's a very high ticket in the buy your business niche. It is a B2C offer where it's a biz op, but it's selling to biz op people who they already know they need to have money. So I, if I'm able to close a deal, I make $6,750. Per deal closed. Now I'll be real. One of the closes I had was a complete laydown that I just found in the pipeline. Right. Didn't take that much skill. The other close, I had to two-call close it because again, I got a partner objection and I wasn't able to overcome it. I'll be real about that. My first call, it wasn't that great. But if you have a level of skill set where you can talk to somebody super, super high ticket because not a lot of closers can, not a lot of closers can take $35K off of somebody. Not a lot of closers can take $50K off of somebody. If you can do that, then you can make some buku bucks. And if you negotiate on top of that, then you can make some fuck you money. So that's what I'm really focusing on. And literally, I made one reel about this, one reel about what I did, and I just talked about how I closed one deal and I made that much money. And I had another company reach out and they sell an offer that again, it's a $25K+ offer, a done for you offer. To where, again, both of these offers alone, both of them are like done for you kind of buy your business niche. I'm not going to go into too much detail about them so I can talk more candidly, but both of them are $100K per month opportunities and I'm going to try to do them both, right? I'm going to try to hit $200,000 in straight commissions working less than 40 hours a week selling other people's shit. That is my focus right now. And then once I get this down, how do I systematize this for other people. So for example, with Tim here, I have already gotten him on an offer to where he is selling packages that are above $30K, okay? So I haven't gotten it to the point where it's like I feel like I can systematize everything and make sure everyone's in the right offer and all these different things that I'm talking about. But I have helped a couple of these people get on better offers and I'm already seeing the great results. So this is what my focus is moving forward. I want you to follow for the journey and I'm gonna be screaming from the rooftops as soon as I hit $100K, $200K in pure commissions. Selling other people's shit because it is possible. And then once I do it for myself, I'm going to systematize this for everyone else. So right now I still have my mastermind offer like how it is. I'm not changing the structure because again, I haven't systematized this on the back end. But as soon as I in the next month or two actually systematize this, I show it can be done and I have more companies lined up. I'm going to jack up the fucking price because you come to me now and I'm just going to get you better at what you do. Here in a month or two, I'm going to get you better at what you do and then place you in an offer where you can make $50,000 to $100,000 per month. This is a much more appealing offer. Now, in order to make this type of money, again, you also have to be good at what you do. But everyone talks about being good at what you do. Everyone talks about getting better at sales. I have not seen anyone talk about how to negotiate better and how to sell super high-ticket fuck you offers so you can make fuck you money. So that's what I'm going to be focusing on Follow for the journey and drop any comments on anything you would want me to focus on, answer any questions you have. So this is going to be a journey and I'm glad you're here for the ride.
