When someone says they need to think about it, Alex suggests telling them decisions need information, not time. Christian Polk recommends asking what information they're missing instead, to surface the real objection underneath.
Someone says, I need to think about it or I need some more time to make a decision. Respond with, it doesn't take time to make decisions, it takes information.
Now, I love Alex, but I've been selling in the online space for over four years and I've sold over $7 million in sales. Technique like this is going to be partially true in that space. It's part true because yes, the think about objection isn't a real objection, but he put somebody in a box and especially when they tell you they need to think about it, they're a little bit more fearful. So it's. They tend to go a little bit more fight or flight when you do that to them. What I would do instead is just be a little bit more low key to get them to open up. Like, oh yeah, that's not a problem. Just to make sure I send over the most relevant information to you so you can make that decision. What do you feel like you need to go over in your mind? Then you get the real objection and then you can handle it. If you want more help on how to overcome objections, follow me for more sales tips.
