It was like the best script that I've ever used. I had a customer service rep. Every time she got on the call, she would make this joke. Hey, Jerry, I love that you spoke to Sean. He was saying great things about you. Like, I was looking at your business, and you did X, y and Z and blah, blah. Then she would go through the whole thing and be like, oh, my God, I'm so sorry. I didn't even introduce myself. How awkward. Same thing every time with every fucking customer. And it broke the ice and it tied back to the sale.
This is so true. And it's kind of silly how well this actually works when you make dumb jokes, it just really breaks the ice. So you gotta understand, when you're hopping on a sales call, typically people's guards are up. They don't know you. They don't know how the conversation is going to go. But laughing is involuntary. It makes dopamine hit the brain. So I make the same stupid dad jokes every single time. And 60% of the time, they work every time. So if you want to start making more sales, start using dad jokes. It'll help people lower their guard, and you'll make more sales.
