Are you ready to get started? Let's go. Welcome back to five Minutes of Momentum. Today I want to talk to you about the words to remove from your vocabulary if you want to make more money. Okay. Changing your vocabulary can make such a big difference in your experience of life. The reason for this is, is with our brain, the way that it attaches to words, it creates associations and connections. So the words that you use to describe your experience create an emotional response, all right? It changes the way that you feel and it changes the way that you then respond, which then obviously creates different results in your life. So over your whole life experience, your brain has developed all these different reference points of the meaning of the words that you utilize. So our vocabulary, depending on how expansive it is, can change our life experience. So often what happens when it comes to money? We often have a very limited vocabulary and so that we're literally experiencing a response, an emotional response to the words that you use when we describe anything with regards to money and in our business. So let me give you a couple of examples. If you're using the words can't afford, expensive, if you're saying the word rich, but in a negative connotation way, recognizing the emotional impact of the words that you use and how they make you feel. Because if they make you feel like the wealth is impossible, if it makes you feel like it's dirty or disgusting or untoward or anything negative, then that's going to be your experience with money. The other keywords I'd love for you to remove from your vocabulary, especially if you're a business owner, are things like I can't. Right? We want to replace that with I can, I will, I'll figure it out. Maybe. Maybe is a nothing word. Another word like that is hope. Hope is useless. I hope this will work. Is a useless piece of language because hope is a non action word. It doesn't actually activate action. It's a staying and waiting kind of energy, right? So the emotional response that you have from hope is hoping, wishing and praying. Like that's not going to get you anywhere. It's not going to help you taking massive action. It's not going to have you achieving next level results in your business. Removing, maybe removing. Can't. Removing. Should. Right. Every time you should all over yourself is preventing you from actually seeing what you could be capable of. So allowing yourself to start shifting your vocabulary and choosing words that are much more positive and allowing you to use actionable words that support you in taking positive actions towards the results you want to achieve. Other words like but or only or just, they prevent us or they diminish ourselves, but they diminish our goals, they diminish our belief systems, they diminish our self worth, our self belief, and they cause us to play small. Same with sorry, right? When we apologize for things sometimes that's a common trait for women where we say sorry all the time when really it's not. You don't need to apologize for anything. The other ones could be things like try. Try is a really terrible word because you can't try at something. You either are going to give it a go and make it happen and you're going to be willing to actually take the action to figure it out. Because that's what everything is in business is. Everything is testing and measuring. But when we just go, I'm going to try, there's like this uncertain energy and doubt around it. Like you're actually not believing that it's going to go through. And so having decisive language to support you to be able to take massive action is a really positive mindset shift. So changing from I'll give it a try to I'm going to make this happen. I'm going to make this work. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make this work. I'm going to burn the boats. Right? Like, I know I always talk about that when we burn the boats and kind of cut off any other option than succeeding. Can't just not useful. Not useful at all. You can and you get to choose whether you want to do it or not. Rather than hope we go to I know or I expect this to happen. Trying to, I am doing right. So start to, you know, I'm trying is like this lack of, like lack of commitment. And we want to make sure that we're following through with a dedicated energy. Maybe changes to I will or I won't. Because you, if you sometimes when you say maybe it actually means that you don't want to so recognize like actually owning that and going, okay, well if I'm saying maybe I'll go to this because that person invited me to this event, but really I don't really want to go, then maybe instead of saying maybe you should turn around and say, no, I'm actually busy or I'm already committed. Thank you so much for the invitation. You know, like you don't have to always just be sitting in that half assed energy. The other thing I always love to speak about when it comes to the vocabulary is our emotional words. We have so many more emotional words around negative emotions than we do around positive emotions. So we're very limited in our vocabulary. And so even when you think about how you feel, so when people ask you how are you? When you respond with fine or good, they're really nothing words. They're kind of like, they're not really emotionally positive words. It's kind of like, whereas if you choose to say, well, great, actually like allow you to feel that you have an emotional response to that or I'm excited, I'm exhilarated, I'm so joyful right now. I can't believe that I get to live this life. When you get to celebrate your life with the words that you choose to describe, your energy and your, your brain will support you in feeling good as well with that response to that word. So if you're ready to stop limiting yourself, I would start replacing those old words and start placing them with positive actionable words and then also starting to choose more positive emotional words to describe your life, to describe your experience and start to choose and speak into existence what you want to have happen instead of thinking what will happen, allowing yourself to step into that next level version and start speaking about it. So I even think, use things like, I'm working towards this. This is actually coming out for me soon. I'm working on this. So it allows it to become so much truth. It allows it to become truth within your mind and then you're more likely to take action on it. Right when you're a person of your word, you will back yourself when you say it out loud and declare it to the world. So I hope this resonates with you. Remove some of those words in your vocabulary, start working on your money mindset. I have a whole mini course on this.
