Thank you so much for joining me and for hitting download. I really appreciate you hanging out with me here today. I wanted to jump on and share a little bit of an update. I know I've had a few podcast interviews recently with some awesome guests which has been amazing and I've got some incredible guests coming. Just you wait. Oh my goodness. So when you listen to this podcast will be most likely on my way home from America. If you listen to it on the day that it comes out, I am heading over for the last trip for the year and heading to Newport beach and to Laguna beach and going to an event with Chris and Lori Harda which is going to be so much fun. And I'm also going to be interviewing Chris for the Next Level Life podcast. So his interview will come out really soon. And then in the new year I'll also be interviewing Lori, which I'm so excited and blessed, honestly. I'm just so pumped to have the conversations with them and to share them with you, my beautiful audience. And I also want to just give you a bit of a Light Life update and a book update. And I've been learning so much through this process so that I wanted to share with you just in case that you may want to write a book. And I also want to share with you all the change that's been happening recently. So I have recently just moved down to the Gold Coast. It happened quite quickly. I made the decision, found a house and had to sign the lease really fast because everyone's, you know, everyone's trying to find a rental, for goodness sakes. And so I decided I wanted just to rent first before I decide where I want to buy. And I'm going to keep my property in Brisbane and just rent it out. And I, yeah, made the move. Made the move. Made, made it really fast packed up my life. I've been living in that place for nine years now and have loved my beautiful little house. It's such a beautiful little house and. But the beach was calling. I've been wanting to get back to the coast for a really long time and things just didn't seem to fall into place until now. And I've got family moving up from Victoria so I wanted to be closer to them and so yeah, it's honestly I'm so, so excited, so glad that I've done this. It been a bit of a overwhelming process but at the same time I've been managing my mind through the whole thing so I haven't been super overwhelmed or stressed. I just look at it like extra things on the to do list and I will get to them and they will get done. And so I moved to the Gold Coast. Also closed off the next launch of Unstoppable Sales. Have a beautiful intimate group to take through for the next four months and they are already super engaged, diving into the community, diving into the content and starting to work on their sales within their business. So, so excited to be supporting them. I also extended the original intake for Unstoppable Sales back in August. So they started with me back in August. Originally when I sold it in it was a three month program and I got two months and a two and a half months in and decided that it wasn't long enough. I wanted to give them more time, more support. So I extended it for a month to make it a four month journey. So then when I came to the point of this next launch because it's time for the next intake, I didn't want to launch in November because I knew I would be traveling to America. And so I decided to do a soft launch and a beautiful group of women together to be a part for the next to be together for the next round. And so we are on board of the beautiful new group. And so I'm still supporting the other August group and I've got new re signs for the next round for them as well, which is amazing. And so I have been working behind the scenes with them. And so because of all the working on like moving house and getting ready for America, I, you know, have dropped a little bit on my socials. I had the epic Thrive retreat recently. Like there's just been so much going on. So I literally had the Thrive retreat one weekend. Then the next week I packed up my whole house organized removal lists and all the things. On the next weekend I moved house and then the next week after, then I'm fly to America. So lots happening. But you know, I love to do all things all at once, so it's all good. So, yeah, I've been wanting to move back to the Gold coast for a really long time and I just want to be closer to the beach now that I can work from pretty much anywhere now. I was like, why am I living in Brisbane? And a lot of my friends have moved away. A lot of them have moved to the coast. I've got lots of friends down here. So I've. I was literally like, why am I sitting here and driving down the beach every weekend or almost every weekend? I stopped doing that because the traffic got so insane. So it's so nice to now be literally eight minutes from the beach. I'm going to head there just after. In a minute when I finish this podcast, I'm going to head there and watch the sunset. And I am just so blessed to be here. I have a pool as well, so I have been starting my days by going for a swim, which is just magic. And I want to share this with you because this has been on my vision board for a really long time. And I say, but it's not really a vision board. So in my head is what I mean. So when I do my visualizations, some of the things that I plan out are things that I want to have happen in my future. And so I take the time to visualize what I really want to bring into my life. And living by the beach has been on that for a really long time. And the visualization I've had is in my dream home on the water. And so I feel like I'm like living that dream now, which is amazing. Everything from like creating the business that I have, traveling, meeting some incredible people at the same time, and as living by the beach, it's been one of my to dos for a really long time. So it's so exciting to that or for all of that to come to fruition and to be knowing that I'm going into the Christmas holidays, that I'm going to be so close to the beach, so excited just to have my own beach holiday where I live. Okay, that then brings me to the book. So I'm in the process of editing the book before I send it to the editor. So I'm halfway through and I've organized an editor. She's going to get started in November and then I've got a formatter organized for the early part of the first part of the year. And I'VE also got my book designer, Brody Rose, so she's going to do the COVID image for me. And I'm so excited. And so this is now the next step of the process. So I send it through to the editor. We then do a couple of drafts back and forth. Then I send it to the formatter. The format, it basically works out the spacing for the words, the how many words are going to fit on each page, the font, the structure of every, like, every part of the book, and how it's going to be laid out within the structure of the book. And then I send it to the designer to then create the book cover image. And then I start going through the process of getting it all uploaded. Then I will start then planning out the launch. Then I will then record the audio version and get it uploaded to Audible. And the fun thing that I found out recently, so I've been getting a whole bunch of quotes from different publishers, and to be honest, like, they are quite crazy. Like, when it comes to, like, the packages that people promote and like the conversations I've been having, the quotes I've been getting for a 35,000-word book has been insane. Like between 20 to $27,000 to get a book published. And there's actually not that much that goes into it. And I know that I'm kind of being a bit presumptuous here because I'm only at the first half of the process, but some of it, I just feel like I can't believe that you're charging that much for that. So I've got some great quotes from. From an editor based in the States and for the formatter. And I'm doing most of it myself. And I'm going to learn a lot through this. I'm going to share with you every step of the way. But one of the things that I've discovered is that with Audible, you can upload it yourself. So all you need to do is have an Amazon account and then you can upload it yourself. You need to obviously record it and make sure it's in good quality audio. But because I podcast, I'm like, yeah, I can do that, no problem. And it's all just about the structure. So once it's all edited and then I've got the copy back, the final copy back, it's about recording it in the structure that the book is mapped out, and then I upload it in different chapters. Right. So not that crazily difficult when I already edit my own podcasts. No, no big deal. So you upload it and then Amazon tells you whether it's. Whether the quality is good enough, and then it gets uploaded to Audible and then you can start selling through Audible. So, like, this was quoted for me separate to that quote that I just mentioned, right. To get it published, to get the book produced and then published. And that 20 to $27,000 quote. And there was multiple quotes at the same similar price range that only included very small amounts of printed books, which is crazy to me. And then to do Audible was an extra quote of $4,000 on top of that, even if I was to record it myself. So really what I was paying for is for them to upload it. So I would still have to edit it. I would still have to get it to them in the right quality and in the right structure. But they would upload it and they were going to charge me $4,000. I've discovered you can do this all yourself. I literally found it on YouTube. Crazy what you can find on YouTube. So anyway, I just wanted to share that with you because sometimes it's so worthwhile taking the time to really research the parts of the process of what someone else will. Obviously you pay for convenience, right? Like, I get it. You're paying a publisher, a self publisher to go through the process and to, you know, help you every step of the way and talk you through it. Like, if you need that, that's great. Awesome. Obviously I'm going to need help with distribution, so I'm going to cross that bridge when I come to it. I've got a couple of contacts from some beautiful people that have shared those details with me. But, like, I'm not sitting there paying $27,000 for my first book knowing that it's not going to be like the biggest book out there. So I think there's definitely. Sometimes it's worthwhile doing your research to find out where you want to be spending your money. Because sometimes it's not necessarily just for someone to do it for you. And if it's something that you're going to have to do majority of it yourself anyway. Like, it just crazy to me anyway. So I'll share more about that in the process as I'm going through it. And I'm also heading to America. I'm going to be interviewing some live people for the podcast on to do some live podcast recording, which is going to be so exciting. And heading to the next event as part of Chris and Laurie's Mastermind. And I can't wait to connect with so many more people, but also to revisit and connect with people that I've already connected with. But I will take you along for the journey. So make sure that you watch my stories and make sure you check out my reels. And, yeah, if you want to know anything about anything that I've shared, honestly, I'm an open book, so feel free to send me a dm. And the other thing that I wanted to share with you today on the podcast is my journey, journey with imposter syndrome this year. So with writing my book about imposter syndrome and how to turn it into your superpower, it has definitely been like a baptism of fire this year, but in good ways. Like, in really good ways. So in my book, I teach you how to turn the imposter syndrome into your superpower. So when you're actually seeking it out, it can be a huge way to expand your success, because the things that induce the imposter syndrome are things that put you out there right where you're putting yourself outside your comfort zone. We don't experience the imposter syndrome when we're in our comfort zone. So if you think about it from this perspective and go, hang on a minute, like, what if I actually sort out the imposter syndrome? What if I sought out experiences that activated the imposter syndrome for me, yes, it's going to be scary, but I know how to transmute the fear, and I know how to work with the emotions and the anxiety and all the things that come with doing things outside your comfort zone. So when you learn those processes and you understand how to manage your mind, you can use the imposter syndrome to absolutely expand your success. And that's what I've done this year. So in every situation where I've had the opportunity to put myself out there, to promote whatever it is that I'm promoting, to pitch myself, to ask incredible people to be on my podcast, like all of these situations, put myself in rooms of incredible people, put my hand up in those rooms, ask questions, you know, go and speak to people on the other side of the room that I've always admired, like, taking these opportunities that I know that I don't feel worthy of. I don't feel like I'm good enough for. I'm still going out there and doing it. And I want to implore you to do the same, because this is where things start to massively change, because the more you do it, the more it becomes part of who you are. The person who takes scary, risky action and the person that says yes. The person that goes after those big opportunities and the return on that has been amazing. I've been asked to speak at incredible events. I've got some really amazing events booked for next year. I have connected with some incredible people. I have some incredible guests coming up on the podcast because they said yes when I asked. You know, like, there's so many things that have happened this year that I know that more are still coming. And these would not have happened if I hadn't have faced the imposter syndrome. And instead of listening to the chatter and listening to the stories that the imposter syndrome throws at you that you're not good enough or who do you think you are? Like, all of that stuff, if I had listened to it and not taken the action, I would not have achieved what I've achieved so far. So I want to share that with you because I want you to know that even though, like, you might watch some of my stories and you might see me going to these events and you might see me running retreats and hosting masterminds and launching online, like, all of these things, you can absolutely do this, too. And I think that this is the thing. Like, sometimes we look at other people doing these amazing things and go, oh, but that's because she's confident. No, it's not the fact at all. It's because I'm willing to face the fear. I'm willing to try anyway. I'm willing to risk looking silly or willing to risk being rejected. And that's the biggest difference. When you sign up to be in business, especially an online business, you signed up for a personal growth, growth journey. So if you aren't doing the work to unpack the fears, the doubts, the insecurities that keeps you playing small, then you will continue to play small. And so I cannot wait to share my book with you. I will absolutely give you the next lot of updates when it comes through, and I cannot wait to get it out there and have it in my hands. It's so exciting. So I wanted to share that with you because I know that we can often compare ourselves or we can often look to other people doing big things. And I'm not even saying that I'm doing big, big things. Like, it seems big things to me. Right? That's the thing. It's like, it's all small things, but it's taking that scary action and that uncomfortable, courageous action every single day, right? So the more you do it, the more you become immune to, I guess, the fear around it, and the more that you just keep taking the action, but then the opportunities level up and then the situations level up and you're like, oh my God, now I've got to do this. And you absolutely have the choice to decide not to do it. Right? But what's that going to get you? You're just going to stay, keep playing small and stay exactly where you are. What's the purpose of that? Life is about living and giving you the opportunities to go after and create incredible experiences. So I record this as I'm about to jump on a plane to head to Hawaii before I then head to the States for the next event. And I cannot wait. I cannot wait. It's going to be so much fun. And also, I'm sure there's going to be moments of the imposter syndrome being activated and when you know how to manage it, it doesn't actually have to hold you back anymore. So I can't wait to share everything that I'm going to teach you within my book. It's coming out in early 2025, and I hope that you're doing really well. I hope that life is good. I hope that business is good. I hope that you're going into the Christmas New Year break feeling really good about what you've created this year. And I'll definitely do a podcast episode on reflection and some areas that I'm going to on focus on reflection for my business and for myself. So I'll definitely do some podcast episodes about that. But if there's anything else you want to hear on the podcast, feel free to send me a DM on Instagram. And yeah, keep an eye out for the next level of podcast interviews. There's going to be some incredible guests. All right, I'll chat to you soon. Thank you for listening.
