Let's go. Hey. Hey. Welcome back to the podcast. Today I want to talk to you about the mistake that you're making on sales calls that turns people off instantly. Now, I love talking about sales calls because once you develop an incredible level of confidence in your sales calls that you know as long as someone gets on the sales call with you, they're going to convert, then you take control of your business in such a way that you develop a level of confidence that you know where your next client is going to come from. You know how you're going to convert people, you know how to make money in your business. That's my ultimate. Like, I love, love, love teaching women this because once they have that level of confidence, they're like, I fucking got this. Like, it happened recently in one of my clients for Unstoppable sales. She is now fully booked and she said to me the other day, I like, I asked her, what do you think she contributed to your being able to get to this stage in your business? Because when she started she only had one client. And so she was like, how, how am I even gonna hit any income goals? Like, all the things? And she actually got a couple of lead calls really early on. And I shared with her the modules to start focusing on and, and she learned the process of a sales call and then she got feedback from me. We also did a practice session on our sales calls and this just recently, she said to me, I think it's my confidence in my sales calls. Like, I know that when I get on them that people are going to convert. And I'm like, yes, yes, yes, yes. That's what I want to hear. Because that level of confidence, oh, it just permeates through all parts of your business. It's so good. So the main mistake that I see a lot of people doing when it comes to sales, one, they already have a negative mindset towards sales. So they're approaching their sales calls already from an awkward place or from a sleazy place or from a wanting to not pressure people so that they actually look almost like hold back. They're not really looking at from a place of partnering with the person. So the mistake that they're making is they're thinking they have to present. So when you think you have to present, it's like you're on show, right? So it's already putting a level of pressure on you. It's already putting a little level of expectation that if I don't present well enough, then they're not gonna convert. That's a really uncomfortable mindset to go into a sales call with, right? So what you wanna do is you wanna flip that and you wanna identify that a sales call, a purpose of a sales call is twofold, right? One, it's holding space for the client, asking really great questions and finding out whether they need what you have to offer. Right. And it's guiding them through that sales. Sales process. But the second side of it is you determining whether they're the right fit client for you. Because you only want to convert people that are interested, that actually need your service, that are a right fit for your service, and they're the ideal client that you really want to work with. So, so if we're going into it thinking, oh, I have to present my offer, it's again, creating such a level of pressure. So I want you to go into the sales calls of like, okay, I'm going to get to know this person. I'm going to see if working and partnering with them would be worthwhile. And it's something that I want to do. Okay. It's the same thing with dating, really. When you think about it like, if you go into it being like, oh, I hope they like, oh my gosh, like, I hope I'm dressed perfectly so they choose me. You're placing yourself in a position to be chosen when really your opinion goes out the window. When really you need to go into it to be like, do I like them? Do they have similar values to me? Do they want same outcomes as me? Right. Do they want to live the same type of lifestyle? Do they want, like, what are their long term goals? Like, we're going into it with a different mindset. So you've still got to value your side of the story and your partner. You, you're the partner in it. So rather than going into it with like, I've got to present, I want you to go into it from a headspace of I'm partnering with this person. Okay? That will help you approach the conversation from more of an open place and less pressure. And then ideally, what we're doing is we're creating a space to discover whether they are the right fit for us and whether we're the right fit for them. And if it's a perfect match made in heaven, then you present your offer then and only then. And so the ugly side of this is that when we're going into thinking that sales calls are about presenting how we work with clients and our packages and stuff like that, it automatically puts people off because you're so focused on yourself instead of the client. The sales call should be wholly focused on your client, on them. Right. You asking really great questions actually helps you communicate your value by showing how deeply you understand the problem they're experiencing. And you're helping them truly see the value in working with you because you get it. So rather than going into I've got to present, it's actually the opposite. You've got to uncover the need for your offerings before you go and present. You've got to uncover the buy in. You've got to uncover the commitment, level of the readiness, the need, the need of it before you go and present your offer. So I absolutely love teaching this because it's something that once you nail like you take into every part of your business because you recognize that sales is actually about a two way conversation. It's not about a one way. Forcing, manipulating, pressuring. So next time you go into a sales call, I want you to think about how can I step into this from a place of I'm partnering with this person if they are going to be the right partner. Right. It'll also help you see the red flags that show up that feel like they're the wrong fit, ideal client. And then if you feel like they're the wrong fit, then you don't have to present your offer at all. So it absolutely helps you place yourself in the right position to have a great conversation, but it also puts you in control without the pressure. So I hope this really resonates with you and I'd love to hear if you go into the next sales call with this mindset, let me know how you go.
