Short conversational excerpt from a YouTube interview where Angela Trimbur advises being gentle with oneself about to-do lists, trusting gut intuition, and accepting that detours or seemingly unrelated actions can still lead to useful outcomes.
Any life hacks, little tricks you've learned along the way to sort of, like, make your day work better, make your life work better, make anything you do a little easier, better, smarter.
I just like to be more gentle on myself regarding, like, a to do list. Like, I do think that.
Everything leads to something. So if I were like, oh, I have this deadline, but I'm gonna do this instead, seeing a billboard while I do the other thing was gonna make something click. Like, I. I think that I just trust my gut throughout the day and don't feel up, don't feel, like, shackled to something that you think is the answer.
You're remarkably consistent. That goes with everything you're saying about sort of the journey, which is like, yes, I shirked this to do list thing, this errand I needed to run, but I did this thing, and look what I learned, and look what I got.
Like, yeah.
Like, it's not a good, bad, right, Wrong. It's just like, I traded this for that.
Yeah. Your gut is really good, and we don't trust our gut. We learn to go against it. And your intuition is just the best compass to all the things that make you happy. You just have to be able to hear it.
