The dialogue explores differences and similarities in their approaches to planning and spontaneity. The content is informal and reflective, focusing on personal productivity and mindset.
Do you have a life hack, a shortcut that you found that helps you at work, helps you at home, but some sort of shortcut that you figured out that you use on a regular basis or maybe somebody taught you.
How? Do I hack my life? I always know what I'm doing tomorrow before tomorrow arrives.
So you always check a schedule?
I check a schedule. I pack my bag like I do everything.
You pre pack your bag?
Yes. Oh, you just never know what's going to happen. So there's never a surprise. I mean, there's plenty of surprises, but it's not pack your bag.
You don't mean like a getaway bag? Like a, like, like.
No, I'm not like prepper. It's like I'm coming to la, but guess what? My bag was packed a whole day before I went to la. Because what's life gonna hand you? Who knows?
Yeah.
So my work bag is packed before I go. Like I know what I'm doing tomorrow so that I'm not woken up, I'm not anxiety ridden. I have it all figured out. I know what I'm gonna eat. Like I have all of it in my head.
Do you know what's so funny about us?
So I can just execute.
You and I are superficially different, but when you peel the onion, we're still different, but we're the opposite. You are superficially crazy and crazy. Like, let's experiment and be nutty. And people think superficially, I'm buttoned up and everything in the right place. But if you peel the onion, we're actually our actual personalities. I'm type. I, type A also, but I'm your type A organized under the surface. And I'm type A disorganized. But what we present. Yes, you present disorganized and I present.
Organized, but in reality, do not present disorganized.
Have you seen the way you bake?
This is human. This is comfortably human.
So the another way I would describe human.
I'm not precious. I'm not precious.
Human is messy. Messy is disorganized. It's a transitive property of disorganization.
Well, that's what some say. Will's the exact same way though. If I say, what are you doing tomorrow? Not a clue. Don't want to know. Don't need to know. Like to know five seconds before I'm supposed to do it. It's not because I don't love a good surprise. It's because I love to be able to jump into anything in life.
I do look at my calendar every night before I go to bed, so I know what I'm doing tomorrow. That is true. But that's partially because I have to know what time to get out of bed.
It's all about strategy for me. Hacking life is all about strategy, and that's my strategy.
