Parents, I beg you, please, do not help the school system bully your children and make them feel like they're dumb. You know, it's really interesting that children first start getting picked on by other kids after getting picked on by the teacher. You have to stand up in front of the room, you read a book, and then everybody laughs because the teacher made you read when you weren't ready to read in front of the class. Here's the reality. The school system, they used to call my house. Mr. Godin, your son didn't get his homework done last night. I said, let me help you understand something. First of all, it ain't homework. It's schoolwork. Y' all didn't finish teaching them at school. I'm paying you. Do your job. And do not attempt for a minute to think that I'm gonna feel like I'm a bad parent because I didn't finish your job when my kids came home from school. If you don't want me to send my kids to school with a backpack full of dishes they didn't get washed last night, stop sending all this junk to my house. That's exactly what I told when teachers attempted to try to make my son or my daughter, when they tried to make them feel like they were dumb. Be a better teacher. They're not the problem. You're the problem. Fix it. Don't help the school system bully your children.
