Full House Mastery and Why You Need to Breathe It | Robin Sharma

Sam.

Well, hello, welcome to this issue of the V Log. I'm down here in beautiful Latin America. It's a gorgeous day. Been down here for a little while, working on my next book project. And I wanted to introduce you to what I think is a very simple yet very powerful idea. And it's called Full House Mastery. Here's the basic premise or the basic first principle. Leadership is shown not when everything is going right. Leadership is showing is about how you play or about how your organization behaves when everything's falling apart, really almost at the seams. So anyone can be world class when everything is going according to plan A. How do you play Is the real question. How do you play when everything is falling apart and that what's most unexpected is actually happening. Now, why do I call this concept Full House Mastery? I'm thinking about hotels and I was recently at a hotel, beautiful hotel, five star, gorgeous property. But I went there during the most busy part of the year. Now here's the thing. Everything fell apart. The orders were late. No one was showing leadership at the pool. The food was off because there were so many people. And it was a full house. All the protocols that were in place to ensure a wow of a customer service were not happening. Basically everyone was tired. Everyone was in overwhel. Why do I call the idea Full House Mastery? It's because a world class hotel, a world class organization, a true leader without a title shows mastery when the house is full. And the final thing I want to leave you with is what's a full house for your organization? And what does a full house look like in your personal life? And when you reach a full house capacity in your organization or in your personal life, what do you need to do? How do you need to think so that you do play at Mastery? Until next time, thanks a lot and keep leading without a title. Bye bye.
