Clegg argues that Christians must do what they least feel like doing, because biblical commands oppose our sin nature. Real growth comes from beholding Christ in Scripture and transforming from glory to glory, not from complacency.

Everything the Bible tells us not to do. Not doing it goes against our natural sin nature. If it came natural, God wouldn't have to tell us to do it. Have you ever thought of that? So if that's true, that means that some of the most important things for us to do are the things that we least feel like doing. See, because unlike the Apostle Paul, we count ourselves to have apprehended. What does that mean? We think we've already arrived. We think because we stop doing the few things that we used to do, that we're doing everything we're supposed to and don'ting everything we're supposed to don't. Which is why the Scripture tells us that we're supposed to behold his image in the Word and then become more like that. From glory to glory, or from day to day. We're supposed to be becoming more like Christmas.
