Myron Golden argues that how others perceive you mirrors how you perceive yourself. He uses Proverbs 27:19 and shares how he overcame polio and a leg brace by changing his self-image, which then changed how people treated him.

Hey there, YouTube. Myron golden here. I want to talk to you today about how people see you. It's really fascinating when you think about it. A lot of times we're worried about what we think people think about us. Well, first and foremost, let's talk about this. They ain't thinking about you. They got too much stuff going on. How do people see you? They really see you the way you see yourself. People don't see you through their eyes. They actually see you through your eyes. In Proverbs 27, verse 19, it says, as in water face answereth the face, so does the heart of a man to a man. What does that tell us when you see somebody? Just like you see your reflection in the mirror, you're actually giving people or reflecting to people how you see yourself with the vibe that you feel when you meet them. So what you have to do is you have to start looking at yourself differently, and then other people look at you different. Like when people think of me, even though I had polio as an infant, I had a brace on my leg. When people think of me, they don't think of, oh, Myron. He's the poor guy that had polio and he has a brace on his leg. Why don't people see me that way? They don't see me that way because I don't see me that way. Look at yourself differently, other people will start looking at you differently immediately.
