Go early for job interviews, not late. Companies evaluate candidates continuously and move strong ones forward immediately, so waiting days lets others complete multiple rounds before you even start. Extra prep time won't help if someone else already got the job.

For a job interview, you're given two options: either interview tomorrow or in 5 days. Which one do you choose? Tomorrow. Wait, really? Yes. I— there's so much that can happen in 5 days, and time kills all deals. That's so true. So a lot of us think that job interview processes happen linearly, where they interview everyone for the first round, then you interview everyone for the second round, third round, and it's, it's cycles. But that's actually not the way most companies operate. It's actually typically more of they're comparing each candidate to the criteria, and if you pass the criteria, you move on to the next round. So in those 5 days, someone could have had their first round if they interviewed the next day, then maybe they have their second round in 3 days. Maybe now they're moving on to the final round the same day or a couple days after you have your first interview. And so while it is nice to have the extra time to prepare, a lot of the job search process has to do with timing, and you can miss the boat if you are constantly putting out your interviews farther, and it could go to someone else.
