A short YouTube monologue by Clegg (June 5, 2023) advising entrepreneurs to stop prospecting (cold outreach/pitching) and instead make themselves discoverable to customers already seeking their products/services—i.e., shift from seeking prospects to attracting buyers. The speaker emphasizes that many potential buyers already exist and that being findable positions you as a welcome guest rather than an annoying pest.

Hey entrepreneur. I want to give you a word of advice and a word of warning. Stop prospecting. Stop inboxing people and trying to get act like you're having a conversation and then only to try to pitch your service. Stop prospecting and start attracting. In other words, stop looking for people to sell stuff to and start making yourself more findable for people who already want to buy, you already want to sell. There are already right now hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions of people in the world who would love to buy what you'd love to sell, but they just don't know you exist. So the question then becomes not how do I find people to sell to but how do I get my message in front of people who are already looking for this value to be created and added to their lives? Figure that piece out. Now you're attracting. You're not prospecting. You're a welcome guest, not an annoying pest. Stop prospecting. Start attracting.
