Allow me to share with you the turning point in my business career. It's a decision I made that absolutely changed my life. It was back in 1997. I was a part of a multi level marketing company. They had a conference going on in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I didn't have enough money for a ticket. I didn't have enough money for a hotel room. And I didn't have enough money for to get down there and get back. I only had enough money to go to Fort Lauderdale and then figure it out. And I decided to do it even though I couldn't afford it. And I. I borrowed my dad's van. I drove to Fort Lauderdale. When I got there, somebody who was on my team bought me a ticket to get into the event. I didn't have a hotel room, so I slept in the van. But it's hot in Florida even in February, so I slept with the windows open. And all the mosquitoes in Florida thought I was inviting them over for a midnight snack. I went to the conference the next day. Looked like I had the measles. But I learned something at that conference that changed my life. It was the level of dedication that I had that other people didn't have that was going to be the key to my success. You have to be willing to decide even when it's hard.
