Company values should describe what you actually do when things go well, not what you wish you'd do. The speaker's workshops find those peak moments and extract the real behavioral patterns underneath, turning them into values that matter because they're already happening.

Values are not aspirational. I think a lot of companies, when they talk about their values, they sit down and they cut pieces of, you know, they cut pictures out of magazines and, you know, they do vision boards and these are our values. Values are not something you aspire to. And that's the other problem with some of the DEI stuff. It's thrown as a value as if it's aspirational. Values are how you operate when you operate at your natural best. And so what we do when we do workshops with companies is we look at all the times where you're operating at your natural best, where you're just in flow and all cylinders are firing and it just feels like we can do no wrong. And you'll find that there's a very consistent pattern of behaviors that show up every single time, and our job is to identify them.
