A short motivational talk by Robin Sharma about performing a 'victim detox' — deliberately quitting negative habits (worrying, complaining, gossiping, staying small) that keep people in victimhood. He frames these behaviours as addictions that can be broken by a committed detox period (30–40 days) and encourages starting immediately to awaken one’s inner leader.

Hi. I'm walking to the office. So first of all, good morning. And I wanted to, in this session, talk about your victim detox. You know, there are many different drugs of choice. It's not just alcohol or other forms of drugs. Some of us are addicted to worrying about the past. Some of us are addicted to staying small. Some of us are scared the future. And all of these are addictions that limit us from awakening our inner leader. And just like any other detox, let's say an alcohol detox, if you want to break that habit, or another form of drink drug addiction, where you go through a detox to get rid of some of these addictions, like complaining or playing victim or gossiping. What we need to do is go through a whole process where we let go of the things that we've been doing for so many years or for so long. So I just want you to think about that, you know, what habits or what addictions do you want to detox from your life? And you can go cold turkey if it's worrying, if it's complaining, if it's gossiping, if it's being negative. In a world that is increasingly negative, what things can you detox? And then how do you start? Well, you just start. You just start by saying, I no longer want this addiction or this bad habit, and you start moving away from it. And the more you do it, the less energy you'll be giving to it and the less of a hold it will have if you stay with it. Because growth is a process. So if you stay with the detox 30 days, 40 days, you'll find it has much less of a hold on you. And you will make that shift from victimhood into leadership. Keep leaning without a title. Thanks.
