Hi. Well, you know, I wanted to share something, and I really want to try to chronicle.
The hidden machinery behind the Leader who had no title for you, to show you the journey from really beginning to write the book to working with publishers, to just getting the message out there. I just came out of a meeting with our web company, and we still don't have the books yet. And we're not supposed to have them. We're going to have the books in another three or four weeks. Right now, what I have is the COVID And I posted this on Twitter to my followers on Twitter. And that's the COVID of the new book and the subtitle. You can see it right there. But I'll read it for you. It's a modern fable on real success in business and life. And, you know, there's obviously the figure in red is the leader who had no title. So it's an exciting time for me because I don't have the book. I've written the book. The manuscript is off my plate, and the COVID is now done. We just finished the COVID finally, about two or three days ago. We've got testimonials. The buzz is really, really starting to grow. We've got testimonials like Darren Hardy, the publisher of Success Magazine, Keith Farazzi, who wrote a great book called Never Eat Alone, New York Times bestseller. The worldwide CEO of Saatchi and Saatchi. Kevin Roberts, Matthew May, who wrote a great book called In Pursuit of Elegance. Marcy Schaimoff, another great book. Happy for no reason. So it's all starting to come together. My team is working super hard, and the buzz is really starting to grow. But I wanted to focus on one thing in this video blog, which is really. I saw a review today, and it was a negative review. And, you know, I want to share with you, which is not everyone's gonna like what you do. Not everyone's gonna get what Leading Without a Title is all about. There's a lot of cynics out there. And this writer who read an early copy of the Leader who had no title, said, you know, it's a silly message. Lead without a title. Why would anyone want to lead without a title? It's not possible. He called it magical thinking. You. You know, and I've seen people around the world in companies we've worked with, people that I've come across on the streets or in airports or in restaurants, and they don't have a title, but they're showing leadership because they're innovating and they're Positive, and they're driving change, and they're ethical and they're passionate. And I know you believe in all those things, but some people just don't get it. And I don't get why they don't get it, but some people just don't get it. And so this was a negative review. And I don't want you to think that it's easy for me. You, as you push your dream forward and chase your goals and create the work life and the home life you want, you'll get knocked down. And I don't want you to think I'm any different. And so I got this negative review and I was discouraged. I was disappointed. I love this book. I think it's the best book I've written by far. I poured my heart and soul in this book. Everything I've learned about leadership in the past 15 years, I've written in this book. And I've gone through so many drafts and polished it. And to see a review where someone says it doesn't make. I don't like it. But what I think is important is, as the Japanese say, get knocked down eight times, get up nine times. And so ultimately, I believe in this book. And you really have to believe in yourself when no one else believes in you. And you have to believe in yourself so deeply that when you get discouraged, when something doesn't go well, you say, you know what? That's just their opinion. They're entitled to their opinion. I actually respect the right for someone to have their opinion, but it's not my opinion. And I know what this book is about, and I know how many people it'll help, and I know how many people it will inspire. And it's my mission and my commitment, and nothing will stop me from getting the book out there. So I wanted to share that piece with you. Really, it's all about trusting yourself, believing in your dream when no one else will. Even with the Monk, Initially, people laughed at the idf, the Monk. They didn't like the title. But I kept on going and people liked it. So I wanted to share that with you. Just an inside glimpse, and I'll talk to you soon.
