My friend Bill is damn near a billionaire, and he has five rules to help you and me become one, too. The first one he told me is, you're thinking too small. I had told him about a plan I had to build, and he looked at me really closely and he said, do you think you've been around small business for so long that small has infected your thinking? And that one question led me to build a business. Biz scout. The second is, find the billionaire to your millionaire friends who are so interested in seeing you succeed that they see you as larger than anything you can imagine yourself. Next, you buy stuff to give it away. What's all the money for? A little bit about the law of reciprocity. And if you haven't read Bill's book, he says it perfectly. Next, find the people advancing the world. This quote from Bill, and it's like this mentality hat if you want the people in your life to help you move forward, you got to surround yourself with winners. And then lastly, he says, keep a menagerie of friends. Humans are multifaceted. Let them be. You have different friends for different reasons. Not winning one area doesn't mean the whole friendship is spoiled. Find people who are winners. But maybe in their segment.
