Graham Stephan is only 33 and sold $120 million in real estate. But what you probably don't know is that he started this bankroll coffee. We're gonna break down. What exactly happened when he started this coffee company? Let's ask him. Real estate to a coffee company. Why a coffee company?
I love coffee. My big thing is it's not worth it to go and buy coffee at Starbucks because you could just make it at home for cheaper. And I joked a long time ago that I make my coffee for 20 cents. And that's the name of this is 20 Cent Coffee.
What happened after you launched the company?
Initially, it was an instant success. I made about it. We sold $110,000 worth of coffee in the first 48 hours from a YouTube video.
What's the biggest lesson you've learned?
It's a lot more work than I expected. And the one thing with coffee, I kind of thought that I could mention it every now and then and people would just go back and buy it. But it requires a lot of active promotion.
How do you plan to fix it?
We're working on a subscription model because for us, it means that if customers subscribe and save, it's more consistent in terms of our revenue and we can predict what we need in the future. And for customers, they save money, so we're really putting a lot of emphasis on that.
