So somebody asked me how I make my first hundred K. Well, I did it the old fashioned way. I climbed through the corporate ladder. I think I started out making $37,250 to be precise. The first year that I graduated college. What I did at the time is I lived with my parents. I socked away a bunch of cash from doing that. Then I stayed in that job until they wouldn't keep giving me more money. The second that they said this is the cap for like the next year. I said that's great, I'll keep working hard. Then I looked furiously around for the next position. Every two years I went to a different company and changed positions because I arbitraged the payment between the old company and the new one. I did that until I got to couple hundred thousand dollars in income and a way to keep earning more money I brought into the company. I don't think you should try to go make your first hundred K from investing. You should go to try and make your first 100k on somebody else's dime. Take that money and use it to invest while you're getting paid to learn. That's how I did it.
