I think there's a direct correlation between how fast you order things in LA and how much money you make. And here's why. I was standing in line to get a coffee and this woman in front of me was taking forever to figure out which pastry she wanted and whether she wanted vanilla or caramel or whatever the fuck she was adding to her latte. And as I sat there watching, I thought, one, this woman doesn't respect her time at all. She is willing to take up 10 minutes going back and forth about a syrup in her latte like it's the most important decision of the day. Number two, she's got no spatial awareness. Free. She doesn't think about how that impacts the business. That business owner— imagine every single one of us did that. How much less business would that business owner do? I'm pretty sure now I'm gonna take every single person that works for my company, I'm gonna take them to coffee, and I'm gonna watch how they order, and I'm gonna decide how much I pay them.
