LEADERS ARE READERS #shorts

This blew my mind. When Larry Page, CEO of Google, was asked how he learned to run a company, he responded, I read a lot. Turns out that leaders are readers. Bill Gates for decades maintained his famous Think Week of hour in a record 112 books, articles, white papers. In that session, we even got Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks. He reads three hours per day. His goal is to find just one idea that he can use to give him and his 150 companies an edge in the marketplace. Mark Zuckerberg has a goal of reading a book every two weeks. I think the point here is I hear a lot of young people say, I don't like to read. I'm not a reader. The truth is, if you want to be a leader, you want to be like Charlie Munger or Warren Buffett, you have to feed your brain. Learning is the only priority, and there's no better way to do it than steal somebody else's 10,000 hours with a book.
