Codie Sanchez cites a study showing a competitive workout group had 90% higher attendance than a supportive one, arguing that effort is contagious. Surrounding yourself with high-performing people pushes you to work harder, while coasting peers reinforce mediocrity.

I just read a wild study about winning. Two groups of people. They had one group of people in competitive workout. Those are like intense F45 style. Another group of people in sort of supportive, kind, nice, or solo group workouts. Guess what? Those who were in competitive group workouts, they showed up 90% more than the other group. What does that mean? That just being around others pushing hard pulls you forward. So think about your own life. If effort rubs off, who are you sitting next to? Most of us spend our days in the company of people coasting, not grinding. And it shows because the science says crock Proximity is contagious. So you have to ask yourself, like, do you want people to say nice things to you? Do you want them to not tell you to go work out? You want them to not call you fat? I don't know. Maybe instead you actually want to be in a room with a bunch of other competitive people so you can actually watch yourself rise to the challenge just by seeing other people who are doing more than you. Yeah.
