Codie Sanchez argues that winners and losers differ in how they talk to themselves when things get hard. Winners think "I'll figure this out." Losers doubt they can succeed. She says your internal script, not external circumstances, determines whether you win or lose.

The difference between a winner and a loser is when shit gets hard, and it will, the voice inside the winner's head says, I'm gonna figure this out. That's it. That's literally the whole difference. Like, when the deal goes sideways, when something breaks, they don't know how to react or what to say, but no matter what, they're thinking is, I win, so I'll figure it out. And a loser, they'll come to me and say, I don't think this is working, I don't think I can grow this. And I say the same thing every time: haven't you figured things out before? Yeah. Are you still breathing? Yeah. Then you've got a perfect track record of every single thing that's come at you up until this morning you've handled. So evidence says, you will figure it out. The most important script you'll ever have in business isn't your sales pitch. It's your elevator pitch inside of your head. It's the script you give that voice. If you fix that first, then everything else gets easier and you'll become a winner instead of staying a loser. At least that's what I've seen.
