These things are pretty gross, but apparently you can make some money doing them like this person did. A mealworm breeding kit is $27 and you start with 500 worms. And according to all of you, they reproduce like crazy. So if you end up with 100 females in your kit, they grow into beetles in two to three weeks. They breed and lay eggs that hatch in four to 19 days. Each female beetle lays around 500 eggs. Hol @ the math here. So now you have 5,000 mealworms, which seem to have a market value according to petco of around $3 per hundred worms, which could be $150 in your first month from only a hundred female beetles. But still, I think that mealworms are kind of disgusting. If you don't, I think you could probably do this business.
